Item concept (Aggro Device)

Hi everyone! I have an Idea for an Aggro Device. This device will be awesome in missions and fleet warfare. The Idea for this Item is to put it on the fleet tanking ships. And it is designed to make the enemy fleets to only shoot the fleet's big bad tanks while the logistics ships and the weaker members to survive longer and do their thing. When the main tank takes too much damage, then the secondary tank activates his Aggro Device and takes over. I believe there can only be one or two Aggro Devices active per fleet at a time.


What do all of you players and CCP think of this Aggro Device. And will you use it.
And how do you want it to work?

Ew... no. It would make PvE too easy and PvP hideously tedious (or too easy).

Use fleet tactics and meta-gaming rather than contrived and arbitrary mechanics.

Fit ECMs on your ships and you have no problems drawing aggro from NPCs or players.

desc: taunt device sends a abominable taunt to enemy captain.
effect: targeted ship player/npc shoots at user's ship.

skills: taunt device operation, taunt device prob, taunt device faloff, taunt device optimal, advanced taunt device operation.




so how it works? - it does not matter, there is MMORPG

No such thing could exist. Any skill or module (outside production stuff) has to also be applicable to PvP.

If anything at all, the only thing I could imagine such a module and skill doing in pvp is for very large fights it makes the enemy fleet broadcasts primary to a fake one. Then those watching broadcasts instead of listening to the voice commands of FC go targeting the wrong primary.

Coarse Energy Diversion Field Projector--- all damage done to any ship hooked to the fleet command interface within the field is instead applied to the projecting ship. Give it the same kind of cycle as Bastion mode, fitable on ships no smaller than battleships.

Shoot who you want, but you either shut down the field, or pop the ship. For real fun toss a bomb at them so the projecting ship can take some insane multiple of bomb damage from all the ships under it's umbrella.

Variations could transfer different percentages of the damage to the projecting ship, with lower tech levels being less efficient (target takes 40% damage, Projector takes 100%, for instance)

Not bad. Won't +1 as I can't say it would be balanced. Good thinking though.
