I think the battleship needs something more than the front wing and rear vertical stabilizers.

Although I don't think there is going to be a model change between now and when the ship is released, I am partial the the half-ring version. The no-ring version looks dull and the back ring version looks bad, with the wings it's too crowded at the back.

Good lord did CCP drop the ball with that design. Pretty much every alternate idea posted in this thread is better. It's like they came up with two tail ends of a ship with no nose...

WOW, every one of your suggestions is an improvement - back ring version looks the coolest by far!

I really hope they can do something with that suggestion - pay attention CCP please!

The BACK RING version is pretty neat. I'd love to see that combined with the inclined ring shape of the Hyperion MK2 from deviant art. Inclined rings always add some menace to a model and radiate power.

do any of you actually think ccp is going to listen ?
the decision has been made, ccp never asked you what it should look like, they don't care in the slightest.

the nighthawk now looks like a drake. did ccp ask before doing this ? RLML are garbage now, did ccp ask if we wanted this change?

they do whatever they want and do not care what you think.

This is very true unfortunately. And really, you knew CCP was going to make at least one of these ships dog ugly. They clearly have a strict policy of having a 50% blind people hiring ratio for their design department, and the SOE went to the blind half of the department just like nearly all the Caldari cruisers.

Even more important then that the seeing half of the office notices the glitch and drives the blind half to change it for the better. Roll With this "They won't listen to me anyways, I cannot change anything anyways" mentality just makes matters worse.

whether half ring, back ring or "vanilla", those concepts are more in line with the SOE-design introduced with robicon.
some nice concepts though.. like the minmatar battlecruiser a lot.

The 3 of them are pretty good but each would fit in depending on the theme of the ship

the no ring version makes it look like an attack battleship shooting lasers left and right, fast and agile
the back ring makes it look like a heavy assault battleship
and the 3rd one fits in with the support battleship coming and helping in a fight..

I like CCP version still, fits well and looks great, but yours can be used for some more ships.

I like the Back Ring version but it needs something else.

Maybe same Back Ring Version with a Half Ring on the Middle!
