screen momentarliy turning black since patch

Hi as the title says, i get this random black screen sometimes while playing eve. The whole screen goes black and then moments later returns to normal.

At first i thought it might be a sign of my graphics card dying but so far this has only occurred in eve and only after the rubicon patch.

Im running windows 7

4gb ddr3

gainward 570 phantom

intel 2500k

not sure what else to tell you.

Should i post my directx diag here?

This happens to me as well, also running windows 7. It does not come back after the black screen, however if i alt-tab and then come back i can get it back.

Same here. Doesnt return until alt tabbed out and back in. Also, I've noticed patterns in the bugs behavior. It generally happens when I click on a window (chat, dscan, overview etc..) It also happens often when I've opened a screen from tabbing out of a different client.

This did not start happening until yesterday, keep in mind ive not been able to play for a week so reporting it after a certain patch would be inaccurate.
Ive also been monitoring my gpu temps and have even made fan speed more aggressive because at first I thought it was a heat issue. No luck.

Also, Do you play multiple accounts on a single monitor? Seems to happen more when I've got multiple accounts running.


Edit- Just noticed my drivers are out of date. Im about to install new ones and also picking up a second monitor tonight so I'll try to keep you guys updated if anything seems to help.

Hi i seem to have resolved the issue by setting directx 9 mode in the launcher.

If the issue occurs again ill report it here.

Im having the same problem, just one difference, my computer locks op completely, and start's showing some red Artifacts, and then it restarts

Windows 7, Geforce 580 (2 GB RAM), 16 GB System RAM..

Yup, this also stared happening since rubicon whilst alt tabbing whilst mining.

All the recent problems seem sto be about 500 series cards with DX11

Well.. changing to Direct X 9 seems to fix the error, now ive been running Direct X 9 since ive posted, no thing has happened since
