Medium Sized Industrials

On more than one occasion I wanted to take a load of goods to a trade hub. The catch is I found that they would not fit in any indy I owned and are too small to be worth using a freighter, or an orca. My thought is to create a medium sized industrial line.

Details:
- 1 ship per race
- About a 50-150k m3 cargo hold
- Requires its own skill which is dependent on racial indy skill to level III or IV
- About the size of a Battleship or Battle-cruiser
- An alignment and warp time in between that of the regular industrials and the orca or a freighter
- The usual 5% bonus per level of the racial indy skill or the Medium

The whole point of this is to make quick runs to trade hubs, by not having to use a freighter for only 150,000 m3 of cargo. So that way you can make a quick profit on the goods you happen to be selling. This ship class is entirely meant to have a greater cargo capacity than indys, but to be quicker than freighters or orcas which are classified as capitals in the market.

*Slots and rigs aren't specified in the description as well as bonuses would be dependent on the race of the ship. Amarr, Gallente armor bonuses, Caldari and Minmatar shield bonuses.

Nothing new. We have seen plenty of these threads.

At least other posters had some detailed ideas, bad post is bad post.

oh look, another request for a ship that does exactly what the orca does, but is less versatile.

Yay, this account hasn't had its signature banned. or its account, if you're reading this.

or how about you fly an orca, which does exactly that?

And now someone will post some nonsensical rambling about how the orca requires unrelated skills, because 12 days on mining foreman is somehow worse than 14 on industrial V.

They are called DST and probably would fill that middle role after their re-balance (i hope).

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

A mid range freighter that can fill in the gap between the Freighter industrial would be nice. The specs on the ship look decent.

Or, a massive freighter with double the cargo capacity and half the hit points, and half as fast as a regular freighter.

That would be fantastic.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

It of course would only be able to warp to 15 km, right?
