LOL at you. CCP encourages multiboxing like no other gaming company. It's more revenue into their pockets so do you really think they care about solo players experience?

Multiboxing is valid gameplay.

And yes, they do pay the bills, just like everyone else. PLEXs do not spontaneously spawn.

EvE is an MMO-RTS.

#1 - Shut Up and Stop Whining. You will NEVER stop this.

#2 - If you have "other things to do in life" you aren't playing. CCP wants people playing. I have LOTS of other things to do in life. But I still have 6 accounts. Don't like it read point #1.

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

I don't agree with the OP, but there are some aspects of multi-boxing I don't like. The main one is how people use multiple characters to escape the consequences of their actions. For instance, while I think scamming, corp theft and espionage have all always been a common part of EvE, being able to sell off your characters and buy new ones and escape the consequences, the stain on your reputation, is deplorable.

The other issue is that multiple characters means that while you might suffer at the hands of a person in the morning, you might unknowingly help him out in the evening in a different region (e.g. high sec) under a different name.

As for the increased ability of multiboxing to make isk, I don't take issue with that.

I think what I said was that EVE popularity is a overblown figure and that less people actually pay more of the bills.

Hell some one else pays my bills. I don't know who, but it lets me run three accounts.

I'm pulling numbers out of my ass but I can safely assure you that the actual number of people who play eve is less than their advertised numbers.

So let's say CCP forbid multiboxing..

How can I, for example, move a jump freighter or a capital ship around if I don't have any cyno alts available? Let's say I do this in AUTZ on Sunday since that's the only time I have available towards eve and none of my corp-mates or friends are online? That's just one issue out of many that I have against playing "solo"

I mean my goodness, Power of Two is offered by CCP, they support creating alt characters because it makes them money.

What is wrecking new eden is the people. Whining about "what not" and doing whatever they want without any regard of community or order.

You can enlist all the philosophers you want, society tends to equilibrium because any random chaos will tend to order. There is the more efficient strategy in anything, and that end up being the common place, creating order from chaos.

The ones refusing to accept the order of things remain on the chaotic side, eventually being overpowered and outnumbered by organization. That is the "bug" in null and all corporation and alliance system: People fighting the power of organization and numbers over the individual power of chaotic generalized non-sense.
