Even StarWars: Galaxies had multi-passanger vehicles many, many years ago. Not to mention *the other* game where ships can be operated by 1-20 people.

Yet EVE devs have "no content" mindset.

Well go and play the other game then. im pretty sure the Devs are more concerned with other things right now than giving the ability for players, to Troll people.

This is a great idea. Just imagine James 315 driving a bus full with miners ... omg :))

it would be pretty easy to realise.
Just be able to make a collateral for the transporting job. So you can cover your expenses if you get podded due to bad service.
The collateral should be stored on an interbus account and will be paid out if the passenger got podded.
So you could make a collateral of 3bn if you for example transport a person with a snake set in his head. The transporter can surely demand a higher fee per jump since his cargo is very precious.

Ok, so I claim I have a bunch of expensive, high end implants, but I really don't.

I put up a high collateral transport option to a specific place.

My friends are waiting, and kill you on the way there.

I scoop the collateral, and I laugh.

I think it's a great idea, would be nice for people wha have bad standing but want to get into Empire space. Concord could also do scans to check if you have criminals on board. That way there would be a general risk to transport those ppl. The fun you could have, as some ppl here already mentioned. Kidnapping, griefing unloading the pods in a belt in .0 XD

I've always thought Carriers should be able to carry pilotted ships, so arguing for other ships to carry pods does strike me as just as useful - and you could get around the obvious (and hilarious) issue of kidnapping by allowing said pilotted ships/pods to undock themselves (obviously not allowable while in warp, or if you did allow it, have the ejected pilot careen off in a random direction at warp speed for as long as it takes to deccelerate (anyone whose ever jumped through a titan bridge as the cyno died and been spawned in the sun knows what I'm talking about here))

Oh, it certainly would not be.

I'm merely pointing out reasons why the person I quoted should be thrilled such a thing as they suggested should exist, doesn't.

Primarily because people like me would be damned happy if it did exist. The tears I could harvest from that in a single month would sustain me for the rest of my misbegotten life.

I seem to recall hearing that more than one character in a single ship causes the core Eve code to spazz out.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Only if when you shoot this taxi cab and it spews pods left and right for you to collect, then you go into first person mode and..

Transporting players nah, but I can see clone transport service. If you need your jump clone 34 jumps away in dangerous space you can pay someone to fly your clone there, drop it off and you can activate it. That way your character will not be stuck in Troll Taxi service that spins around Jita station for 100+ hours.

As long as passenger are pure passive passenger, I do not think this is too hard to implement.

->The passenger is a pure passive item, like any other, that may order to be jettisond at next subwarp :) so .. not a big thing.

At least I think CCP should allow docking a carier in space, that would be in the norms !

Imagine for a moment we had Walking in Stations. Now imagine that people could play for free without a "Pilots License" and therefore couldn't skill or fly a ship. They would be station bound unless they were moved by players who had licenses.

Now imagine the grief you could inflict on free to play players. Roll a transport alt, get a whole train full and fly them straight to low-sec and ransom them. Imagine the glorious glorious killmails when you killed a stray Stealth Bomber, only to find it had three other players on-board.

Only scenario I'd advocate this. If the game were free-to-play but you couldn't fly without a flying license, and players ran transportation for these free-to-play-ers. However, the glaring issue of "d/ced to purgatory" lingers on...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.
