Multiple Accounts = Downfall of Eve

This game is single-handedly ruined by those which multi-box 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, etc accounts.

It is an almost insurmountable advantage, and those of us who actually like to do things solo are completely ****** by it.

Something CCP really should address before Eve dies off completely as it truly ruins the experience for those of us with other things to do in life.

I dont see how its an advantage if your getting buy a guy with 2boxes why didnt you just bring a friend?

Eve most likely is "dying" since day one, so I am not worried at all...

To address the first splurge: No, it's not.

To address the second splurge: I have a miracle solution for you. It's called "Neutron Blaster II". It comes in Light, Heavy and Cannon. Go pop some alts, have fun.

To address the third splurge: Alternatively you could pay for a new character? Or will mom not let you have more than one account? Cry

I have a lot of accts, but I don't multi-box much. I just use whatever character suits what I'm doing at the moment.

I don't feel that my game suffers in the least that some guy has 15 Retrievers in a belt in my system. In fact, I find it makes a nice target rich environment.

I only use one account to evict farmers from w-space. That's got to count for something.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Well, there are actually many gamers, me included, that simply do not want to multibox. Its not a matter of ability, just a matter of belief, because it ruins the immersion, and the connection you feel to the game world through your character. It is not at all an uncommon thing.

I however disagree that it is ruining the game itself. Sure, its quite immersion-breaking if you find that the three people you were talking to in local are actually the same person. On the other hand, every multiboxer pays a heavy price for his advantage, credit- and time wise. If someone is ready to play like that, I dont see the problem with that.

The game isn't being ruined... just you can't mine. That is the only time a 5-or-more account multiboxer can do anything to your experience. In PvP, it just makes everything more sluggish. And honestly not worth any potential advantages.

CCP condones the practice of having alts. It's not going to change. And honestly, if it keeps giving the Devs their paychecks, so I can keep playing this game... I'm likely not to care one way or the other.

And I have great respect for those who restrain themselves to just one account. But these players aren't the ones who actively complain about multiboxing and call it "gamebreaking" - those players are in fact the ones who are terminally short of the means or effort to get an alt.

To me, it is always about "everything in EVE has consequence" when so much things can done on an alt to avoid said consequence but in the end, it can't really be controled anyway so meh...

Yeah. let us get rid of all alt accounts....

In the end who cares if half of 0.0 cancels their sub because they are forced to either have their single account stuck in a Mothership /Titan or being able to fly other ships

. Who cares when you allways have to rely on other people (which in big alliances is not the big problem of course) to move ships like jumpfreighters and carriers around.

Who cares if things like corp infiltration and spying on other corps and alliances completly dies.

If you would say ban tools like ISBoxer.. sure nothing against that. But limiting all players to only one account would let some of the most interesting parts of eve completly die and i really doubt that this in any way would have a positive effect on subscriptions.

That is very true. I dont feel sorry for those kinds of players either, because even for a solo pilot the universe in its current state (with half of null void of almost any player activity and a lot of WHs deserted) offers multiple easy ways to have an income of at least 2-3B a month with casual play without even belonging to any decent corporation. Complaining about those evil multiboxers however is none of those ways :D Those people just end up in Highsec for the rest of their lives grinding L4s for breadcrumbs.

Seriously though if CCP did ban multi accounts, it probably wouldn't be very long afterwards that EVE died off completely.

Confirming that this is an "EvE is dying" thread. Tell me what advantage I have over you when I pay $105 a month for EvE versus your $15? Surely any in-game "advantages" that I may have need to be averaged out across all of my accounts? Or is the math only allowed to work to support your point and no one else's?

I live EVE. I give more money to CCP than you. So pardon me when I say if you feel so strongly that EVE is dying then WoW is that way and I don't even want your stuff...

Also, interestingly enough, 1 person with a neutron blaster cannon II is worse than 2 people with neutron blaster cannon II's! CRAZY AS ****.
