Due, i read that thread, you asked something and imemdiatlly started to be arrogant toward people answering to you. And honestly you seems on the same pattern in this thread too.

in the average EVE player culture informations/help shouldn't be given for free to people not showing some effort: answering is a gift.

So if someone ask something and then become rude and arrogant toward other players giving answers then this is the worst thing; of course people bang him.

Mostly if the original question is stupid or plainly wrong.

Try to go on some Linux nerds forum and posting something that not only prove you're a Windows but you didnt even read the Linux manuals befor posting. And then also getting arrogant toward people answering. See what happens.

I tend to attack anyone who is rude to me in response to a post. Just makes sense to return favors, but these damned white knights are a new kind of butt hurt (looking at you Taoist Dragon & the like)

If you start a thread with what you believe is a sensible and sincere post, and you get a rude response, why do you "attack" the rude responder? If the reason for your thread was to ask for information or make some sort of point, the rude responder has already demonstrated their unwillingness to help you. Why not ignore them? Is it because it's "your" thread and you have a responsibility to maintain control?

Some people are in the forums (fora?) to exchange information and ideas. Some are here to banter. Personally, I try to add a light-hearted tone with humorous one-liners , which I understand is not always successful or helpful. Some are here to PVP and "win" debates. Some like to demonstrate their semantic superiority. Some are in it for whatever grief and tears they can generate. The point is, if a reply is not to your liking, you don't have to take the bait. Or, maybe you do. Sometimes it's hard to resist a good troll.

If an OP post something that is any or either of:
- stupid
- incoherent
- discussed and beaten to death 15 times during the last 10 years.
- uninformed
- plain silly

Then Op is going to be met with ridicule and contempt.

If then OP replies in an aggressive way to the ridicule then the blood is in the water and the sharks will gather to feed.

Posting in an uninformed way can be passed, but if OP remains and appears to defend it's lacking of basic cognitive ability then people will pile in on the killmail since it's an easy gank.

But the solution is simple.

If you post something and get blasted for it, ponder why you got blasted and don't forget to ponder if you might have been wrong, since that's the most obvious reason.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
