Skill reset thingy

Hello!

Okay okay, so I have been seeing more and more topics about the skill reset thing. I wouldn't use this if it were available but I thought i'd share my idea of it.

1. The reset only affects ONE category at the time, so you have to pick between gunnery/missiles and so on.

2. The skill reset will cost one plex to start with and increase by one plex everytime you wish to do it. So one plex first time, two plex second etc. This does only stack at each category so it can cost you five plex to reset Gunnery but only one for spaceship command.

3. Only 80% of the skillpoints in the chosen category are returned.

4. If you want to put the returned skillpoints in another category it costs double. So increasing a Rank 1 skill from zero to five would cost as much as a Rank 2 skill in skillpoints.

Please let me know what you think, if it's fair, way to harsh or not harsh enough.

nah, everything in EVE should have (lasting) consequences, even training skillpoints. Not every mistake should be revertible with plex

tbh that is what I think too, but it seems like more and more people want it and I thought sharing my idea might be good. :)

a lot of people want to add game-breaking features or remove other critical features aswel because they feel CCP has to cater to their specific needs. Still shouldnt happen and wont.

some of these people are those unhappy with nerfs/buff of patches. This is where consequences plays into this. They trained for a former flavor of the month setup that changed. They probably enjoyed the hell out of that setup(s) in their glory days. wanted the easy path to victory in the past...they can want the sp when the rough times hit too.

Eve also goes in cycles. That nerf they hate will most likely be rebuffed years later. Or ccp will nerf something else later and that ship they hate as is will be better post balance change.

Also the plex is not a control. We can assume for wise form trains whatever "wasted" sp at some point enhanced pve. I am looking at the NPC aggro shift whiners in drone boats here. The die hards will whine that drone pve is daad now. Some legit players took a hit here. There were however more players farming in afk domi's (and making damn good isk) to warrant this. Latter made their isk...this plex cost not a burden.

% of total sp not a control either. I'd use this to respec some of my early alt attempts before I learned the ways of dedicated alt building. I did this poorly at first...and I accept my consequences for that.
