What kind of rats/damage do they do?
How much tank is needed to survive the explosion?

The WH Ghost sites are suppose to be the toughest. The rats are faction rats not sleepers. The rats appear just before the can explosion. They will warp out shortly after the explosion. The explosion is explosion damage (not therm/em/kin). The invisible timer will not start if you land on site cloaked.

Fairly certain the dev blog said no bounty, no drops. They're just there to blow the research facility and GTFO, not to try to engage capsuleers.

Yep i blew up 2 of the meta 4 Mobile depots. The hacks are the most difficult ive done and you only get 1 try.

I'm pretty sure I made the right choice, if only I'd had the warp speed sub + rigs too! P

As for hunting ghost sites specifically, i think it will be as viable in WH space as it is in empire. Ghost sites will be more like pieces of candy that you find while living in WHs or searching for other exploration content.

A corpie and I figured WH Ghosts for being the least contested, so after patch, we went straight out into our chain for approx 6 hrs.


After caking our siggy with random conx I gave up and headed out into east of buttfuck nowhere in null, found one 7 jumps from the WH exit.


Cargo scans indicated no valuable BPCs, and when I bugged out as the rats spawned it instafailed my (thus far successful) hack and my echelon went pop.


So, has anyone found a WH ghost yet?

Yes I have. There were about 30 sites, 1 ghost site.

Failed the hack. Nothing valuable but I would recommend a t2 hacking module, and a rig.

You will need max skills, T2 modules on a bonused and rigged ship, preferably a cruiser. Stratios is a good choice, as is an exploration T3. Frigates are very likely to get instapopped. But if tanked properly, it could survive.

The explosion is 9000 explosive damage.

we managed to get a ghost site right after the roll out of rubicon. T3's and tanked cruisers will be fine. Our unrigged ships hacked just nicely, but none of the cans had any loot.

Have a look at the stats for the Sansha analyzer it uses, the unbonused stats are huge.
