Not quite 7.

Account : 4/2/2007 11:07:42 PM FreeCCP Promotional Game Time

Character: Imperial Academy [IAC] from 2007.04.09 12:09 to 2007.04.11 10:27.

Strange, I thought I played my original Caldari character longer before recreating like an idiot.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Still here. Subbed the vast majority of that time, as even during breaks I didn't want to lose Skillpoints.

This was my second character, my first, a Caldari, was dropped when I first subbed (and subsequently quit after a month) when I thought EVE was too hard/antisocial/complicated/boring. That would have been circa mid-2006 or so.

Went to the first eve fanfest, was great fun, got very very very drunk.
and yes Boot.ini...that was epic.

Lost my first cruiser to space invaders :(

Ah ... you must then remember m0o corp and time when owning battleship did mean something. When you did first time fly your Moa and tritanium did still cost 1 isk.

Yes I remember M0o camping in Lonetrek, Old Venal alliance and no highways or bridges from outer regions, jumping 60+ jumps out to the end of nowhere and the server having less than 5k players.

I too am a 7 year old toon, however I have taken numerous breaks from EVE.

That said, I remember BoB, t20, he whose name cannot be spoken, T2 BPOs, CCP Tuxford, Burn Jita, boot.ini, the sorely missed warp to 15k (although I do not miss the infinite bookmarks of doom), etc.

And through it all, Caldari ships have been **** in pvp.

Come on these bookmarks where quite handy when you wanted to put some lag into the system when hostiles came in Blink .

I remember the weekend before warp to zero went live. The entire server lagged as bm's were furiously copied; 0.0 alliances were afraid that the warp changes would be rolled back. And as with most significant changes, wtz was going to be the "end of Eve as we know it" as Eve transitioned into a theme park mmo.

Sounds vaguely familiar...

LOL.

As if forcing a 15KM gauntlet run for noobs who didn't get their BMs yet so they can be ganked meant something. When I see people harken back to such days as the "glory days of PVP" they failed an intelligence test with me.

Of course back in those days noobs didn't get popped so much. I used to fly my velator through Amamake and only got mildly harassed.

Maybe if people didn't noob-harvest so much we would not have WTZ?

Nothing causes more tears in Eve than removing easy kills. WTZ was a godsend; bm sets were extremely expensive, virtually impossible to verify, and caused lag. It also halved travel time. But it removed gatecamp ez mode so of course the crying was loud and often.

7.14.04 here. Continuous sub, though my training was inactive for a solid month a few times when RL had me bogged down.

I joined EVE as an EARTH & BEYOND refugee. I loved that game!

I remember playing for a month and thinking "This is a big game!", cancelled and came back in January 2006.

Then I was involved in AURORA (Live Event Team) up until the program was disband Sad.

I'm just coming back from a 8 months break, Rubicon brought me back.
