Something completely foreign to my experience within Eve Online happened to me last night while I was searching for good fights and additional PvP experience... I actually had fight after fight after fight just sitting off the undock, enjoying hilarious conversation in Local [I know, I know... whatever] and generally having a blast. Before you ask, no, "fun" is not the part that has been eluding me thus far in my interstellar travels... no, the difference was the lack of vitriol, hateful trolling and the abundance of awesome as it relates to dropping loads [bait cans] and scooping corpses. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, as they say.

It all started with someone calling out in Local that some "meanie" was blinky and wanted to fight ... Hey, that's me!! ... and I immediately felt self-conscious; was my mohawk properly fluffed, did I have enough ammoz to kill them all, would they just run away when I dropped in on their heads???

My worry was all for nothing... I soon realized that this "jerk" they were referring to was a fellow Blue ... well, now they had my attention. First off, I don't shoot blues... so I immediately gathered all of the intel that I could, gathered the necessary folks in private chat and steered them towards Local where we all decided that yes, we do in fact want to kill everyone ... except for Blues :D What resulted was fight after fight after fight... Fed Navy Comet, Myrmidons, Dominix, an Eris and a few others as well.

What caught me off guard, and in a totally great way, was the willingness of carebears to engage in fights that were unevenly matched in some cases. I swear to you that I never want to fight another Fed Navy Comet in my Ishkur ever again! I would link killmails but I honestly don't really care all that much about smack-talking good people who ended up doing what i wanted in the end even if they ultimately lost ships and pods - you can always check the killboard.

Just show up, try to kill me and say hi - in whatever order suits you best.

Is this sort of thing an anomaly in Hi-Sec?
