1) cyno alt drops MD and lights cyno after deploy
2) jump
3) fit microwarpdrives to nuke your max cap with MD
4) jump

This would possibly speed up jump chains, can be used at pos gun perimeter with permanent MD jump points :)

EDIT: debunked below, MD can be only used by the one who drops it.

The mobile depot has a 2,500m access range. Caps jump to a random point 5,000m away from the cyno. Unless you are a psychic, you wouldn't able to reliably place the depot close enough to where the cap lands.

(I don't know how this would work with titans' fat-ass models. I've never flown a titan.)

You can only use a MD that you dropped, not someone else's.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Good point!

Does the MD have a proximity limit with other MD's or a despawn timer? Because cyno arrays could well be blotted with these for the purpose. Does a MD cause a bump if you land on top of one?

I am a huge derp and didn't think about this at all. /facepalm

You can still drop a depot from the cap itself. Sure you'll have to wait the one minute activation timer, but that's still significantly less than waiting to cap up by yourself. (Considerably more dangerous than warping off and cloaking though. Only use in safe systems.)

6,000m minimum distance from other MDs, 30 day despawn timer after last access. All the info is in the patch notes.

do we really need caps to be able to jump faster anyway?

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

This could probably be done with a carrier that allows other caps to refit off of it. But as said above, MD only allows the person that deployed it to use it. I still think it is total crap because of it, as an op can bring an Orca or a carrier to allow fast fleet refits without the dumb gimp that EVERYONE has to bring their own depot.

I was really hoping on going WH pew pew with a couple of buddies and one blockade runner to bring ammo and deployable structures that it would deploy for everyone. Oh well...

CCP's development strategy lately seems to be "if it's broken, exploit the crap out of it, and we'll fix it". So if you want fleet depots, I suggest getting together a couple fleets and mass-dropping two hundred depots every couple of jumps or during a big fight to refit.

With spies in each of the rival fleets, this will result in fleets refitting hardeners etc. in a continuous dance before the engagement happens, with FC's willing to go only with the right fitting versus the rival fleet :)
