Out of Game Events and Gatherings

So I know from running Alliance focused parties that there are LOT of Midwestern players, and a good few in the WI and Minnesota area in specific. I've run into Eve players through friends-of-friends, and even comedy moments like wearing a (no words, no EVE logo) Goon wings/grenade shirt at JC Penny, and having the cashier turn out to be from an allied group.

I wanted to see if people would be interested in getting together for drinks or whathaveyou in the Madison area. Holidays are coming up, so things will be confusing - checking who might be interested for Saturday, November 23rd - 5pm, at the Free House in Middleton - it has a great beer/whiskey list, and good food. If weekdays are something you could do, and not weekends, let me know.

Failing not being able to come, would be interesting to see who all is local(ish).

I moved here a couple years ago from Minnesota, and used to 'herd nerds' to the local bars there once every couple of months. In game there is a channel MN_EVE (which I still partly run, I have a ton of characters in there so if it's a Goon and has too many in game titles, it's likely me) - which works for WI people as well. I also run twice yearly big Goon meetups that happen in Madison, that get between 30-60 people from all over (farthest away being so far Sweden and UK goons who've come. ) - but that's another sort of thing. Mostly, just want to see who's here and grab a drink or two.

(*for the record, outside of the game I don't give a crap about who you fly with, and hope you're grown up to feel the same as well. I am not a goony-McGoongoon, I'm an adult.)

Due to the OVERWHELMING response (or lack thereof) - I'm going to call this off. However. I would like to meet up with people. What days work for other cheeseheads? Places?

We have a ton of bars and a ton of players. We really should be able to make something happen...

Posted in this forum about Midwinter Gaming Convention in January, we got 8-10 indivudals from Martyr's Vengence coming to Milwaukee plus a friend from PL and a few others, trying to get as many as possible so that we can poke ccp to come try out their livers against us folks in the midwest.
