Caldari mission/incursion skill advice

I have recently begun to train a character for missioning to get my standings up with my other character. I have begun down the caldari/missile route but am unsure as to which direction to head.

Though for now my focus is missioning, im sure i will head into incursions sooner or later and would like the skills i train for missions to also apply to incursions. Barring some drastic advice to switch factions and weapons i think im going to stick with it.

I have heard cruise missiles are the king of missions but am unsure as to what is best for incursions.

Though I am thinking of shooting for a CNR and cruise missiles, i have little clue as to how these skills will translate to incursions and was wondering if anyone can push me in the right direction. Being that im not entirely sold on the CNR or cruise missiles, any advice on either subject is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

enjoy never getting an invite to any good incursion fleets.

Your only hope is to train basilisk and be a logibro.

If you want to investigate incursions this is a good place to start - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=206859&find=unread

Unfortunately, missile boats are not very much in favour so if you eventually want to run with a decent incursion fleet as a DPS boat you will have to look at a Nightmare, Machariel or Vindicator.

If you want to stick with Caldari, then you can always try flying logistics (Basilisk).

I can second this info. Many incursions groups prefer the three BS's listed above over missile boats. The only missile boats I've seen doing incursions were torp fitted.

Some incursion communities accept rokh's which makes for a great starter boat. To run with the shinies you'll probably want a basilisk/nightmare though.

tvp accepts torp ravens or torp rattles as far as i know it. but u wont be on the top of the list the fc wants. FC's normaly looking for direct applying damage which means turrets so rokh. But priority as ive seen it is vindicator>nightmare>mach>t1 bs hulls.

I went from L4 missioning in a Raven, onto incursioning in a Rokh, onto incursioning in a Nightmare.

If you have more money than time, then a faction tachyon Nightmare isn't such a long train.

You need Gunnery 5, but you can get by fine with everything else on 4.

I only had Caldari and Amarr BS on 3, and was still doing over 800dps at 45km optimal.

welp, seems like a missile ship isnt the way to go for incursions one way or another.. Think im gonna stick to missions and missiles for now though. Dont really know too many people on here so id be having enough trouble getting into incursions anyway.

Thanks for the advice guys, really helped simplify this all for me
