How do goons tolerate each other?

Seeing how so many goons have abandoned decency and respect in order to be on "the winning team". How do you guys stand each other? Is there ever a time when you look at your virtual table scraps and wonder if it was worth it? I personally would never want to join the largest "winning" team in any game because I know such groups are full of people who are afraid to really challenge themselves and can't handle being the underdog. They also home to the most obnoxious, blameless elitist dicks who are usually crap when it comes to actual player skill. Is there ever a time when you resent your fellow power tools and wonder if being on the "winning team" is really worth it?

Winning all the time makes it easier to put up with the obnoxious members.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

Noob corp posting alt....

"Grrr Goons!"

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Here's the ugly reality of Eve pvp: you can hate people for all kinds of imagined reasons but at the end of the day, everyone is just about on equal footing. Goonwaffe likes to pretend they're above the rest but sometimes I honestly can't tell what corp or alliance a given moron is in without checking.

We put up with eachother because we have a good, common goal and plenty of justifiable reasons for working together, and everyone involved tends to honor agreements, and agree that the biggest shitlords are neutral, orange, or red.

You guys wanna know the tragic thing?

When I went to null sec, my 1st alliance was very anti-goons. Fought goons all over the north. later we joined Atlas and fought Goons, then my corp join IT and we fought Goons, left IT, went to -A- with some freinds and fought goons. left -A- went to Raiden and fought goons before joining NCDot and fighting goons (Didn't want Tribute anyway btw).

Up till recently my whole EVE life has been fighting Goons. Years and Years and Years of spilling Goon's space-blood. Now this aweful forum (inhabited by the most impotent and irrational Goon/null/pvp haters i've ever seen in gaming) has turned me into a Goon Sympathizer....

Damn you General Discussion, DAMN YOU.

Lotka Voltera once did a "disection of goon culture", this thread?, it helps their culture as much as trolling local, so in a way, you just helped goons.

Props to you for challenging yourself and handling the fact that you are an underdog by being in an NPC corporation.

Double props for recognizing that NPC corps are full-to-the-brim with the most sincere, down to earth and knowledgable EVE players who are usually top-notch when it comes to actual player skill.

My one question, of course, is that is there ever a time when you resent your fellow EVE dominating NPC corpmates and but wonder if being on the "losing team" is really worth it?

I am not an alt of Chribba.

Um... even I, someone listed as a person having "an axe to grind" with the goons, think you are incorrect. My experience roaming around goon space and watching them hunt and be hunted shows them to be typical of large monolithic organizations having "all types" of people in it neatly controlled in a vertical command structure so it's not a cluster-f**k.

Hate them or like them, what makes their numbers possible are two things (my observation):

1. They are noob-friendly in their recruitment and have ship replacement programs unlike other nullsec organizations that tout their own "leetness" by requiring high SP counts and/or green killboards. This was a common trend years ago that had a lot of players in that "I gotta grind in highsec saving my ISK and getting more SP before I go to nullsec" fallacy or the "I gotta camp 23/7 in lowsec to bring up my stats or nobody will accept me" crap and the goons deserve credit in changing that trend. They even proved that you don't need 50M+ SP and a trillion ISK to be competitive in the past.
2. They sell the same opportunities for ISK and/or PVP in nullsec that is often thought of as being something only easily attainable by carebearing in highsec. You'll find a lot of "bears" in nullsec, and not even well-tanked too, and you can hunt them freely but in goon space, eventually some people will show up bringing a good fight (and dictors too).

I think the OP is.... mad.

We tolerate each other because doing so results in threads like these, which we enjoy greatly.

Would you like the doll?

You can just Grrr at it in general if you don't wish to point out where the Goons touched you.

EDIT: Damn, beaten to the punch!
