I'm a little confused. I thought if you attack a "wanted player" that no criminal act will be attacked to you. Well i attached a wanted player and now i have a reduction in security and i can't enter hi-sec without being attacked by concord.???!???!

Maybe I'm missing something.

The wanted tag on their picture means there's a bounty on them. That has nothing to do with if they're legal targets or not.

It kind of defeats the purpose of doing "Bounty Hunting" if you are going to be shot up by the concords plus your security level is going to drop like a rock. I was chasing down "Wanted" players. If they are not wanted why label them that.

I guess its better to shoot at them from 0.4 and down next time. Or away from the gate in 0.5.

Away from the gate in .5 won't help you. Concord is still taking your ship. About now you will be realizing that bounty hunting in hisec isn't profitable because you'll always loose your ship. But what is going to really perplex you is what possible use bounties could be in low, null, or wormholes because if you could kill the guy you would anyway regardless of the bounty.

Leave your safety on yellow. Red is for those who would like Concordoken of their ships.

They are wanted, just not by Concord or the Empires.

The bounty system is a private system to put money on someone's head. It's not a 'police' wanted list.

Think of it more like someone putting money on someone's head to kill them. The police never do that (Governments occasionally do) and if you go and kill that person, you have committed an offence.

Same deal. Someone has put a price on someone's head and you've gone and killed them. The punishment resulting from that depends on the sec status of the space you ganked them in.

Best thing if you don't want to get hit is to find targets that have killrights you can activate. Then you can activate the killright and kill them without consequence to your own status.

They're wanted by other players. CONCORD doesn't care about who players want dead.

They won't mind seeing Outlaws killed though.
