Increased lag - since rubicon

Hi all,

Ever since the new expansion I've been having increased lag whenever I enter a site with a large number of NPC's. However, I've been running some Den sites the last days and I even have issues there!

I dual box, but that was no issue before. I tested with my second character in an empty system docked in a station. Same lag.

I've been askign around and it seems I'm not the only one.. Is this something that's going to be fixed?

I could run 2 different combat sites (a la angel ded8 last room) full of npc's at the same time before the update.

I cannot run 1 serpentis den at the time (with everything else on my PC off). I'm inclined to think this has nothing to do with my hardware.

Its due to the upgrade to DX11 as default.

In your launcher upper right corner is a gear icon. Swich the Direct x from 11 to 9.

Your problem will go away.

Eto Tekai mentioned a possible fix in your case, to switch from using DirectX 11 and use DirectX 9.

Nothing to do with Rubicon, but since then I've built a new gaming rig and I replaced my faulty router giving me way less lag!

Sorry, I just had to correct you on this... lag, refers to network speed issues (read internet speed issues). What you are experiencing is a drop in frame rate, probably following the integration of DX11 in Rubicon. As others have already pointed out, you can make the launcher start the old DX9 client by changing the settings. This should fix your issue.

Hmmm....can you describe this lag?

Is it more of a irritating lag, or would you describe it more as 'gamebreaking'? Does it ruin your immersion? How many subs will you UN if this is not fixed ASAP? Are you sure its not Tidi because of a nearby large scale engagement? How did you notice lag if you are AFK plexing? What other programs were you running as well as 2 instances of Eve? What is the average airspeed velocity of an unlaiden swallow? Were you working on a multiple layered raw image on photoshop while AFK plexing? What were you watching on Netflix while you weren't paying attention to the plexes? What are your system specs? Are your drivers up to date? What is your ISP? Have you checked your router lately? What is your ping to the servers? How does Kristen Stewart keep getting work?

These are the questions we need answers to in order to solve this issue.

Sadly this did not work.
