Suspect Timer for Looting my Own Wrecks

I have been grinding standings with some different corporations lately and have been dual boxing to get through it faster. I currently have one account in an NPC corp requesting missions while another higher skilled account completes them. This typically works pretty well for me, but today I ran stop the thief (requested by my NPC alt) and noticed that all the wrecks were yellow. When I looted the can the thief dropped with the reports in it I got a suspect timer for looting it.

I could move my npc alt into my corporation, but I don't particularly want to do that.

My question is why do the wrecks that I shot appear as belonging to my alt (who requested the mission) and why am I getting a suspect flag for looting wrecks that I shot?

I don't recall this happening before. It may be that mission completion items now drop in cans flagged to the mission owner. It may also be a bug; report it and see what comes back?

the game doesn't know it is your alt. fleet up and you should be able to loot them, although there are a few strange situations there (which I'm assuming you found as I would think you would fleet up to do the missions). I think it also works if you set +10 standing to yourself and your alt.

Just an info:

I always fleet up my alt, but if the mission owner is within the station, or outside of mission system, I'll see the wrecks marked with yellow. Hence, you have to be outside in space with mission runner.

not true im my experience, as long as the mission owner is still in fleet, then the wrecks stay lootable to other fleet members even if the owner is in station/different system.

I agree with imbaRabbit, I have had this happen as well when I leave the mission owner in station the wrecks spawn yellow but when I keep the owner on grid they spawn white, this is probably to protect your stuff. As the game doesn't know you are both toons it assumes that you site has been scanned down and someone is trying to kill your rats and loot your stuff.

Guess that a long winded answer for 'Working as intended'

Whom ever is the wreck owner, get them to abandon the wrecks.

No timer if abandoned or try leaving your wreck owner in system, possibly even undocked.

Abandoning wrecks in a mission site will get you robbed (well technically, you did abandon them)

ALL WRECKS have a 2 hour timer, abandoned or not. 2 hrs gone -> wreck gone. It does not matter where the killing ship is during that 2 hrs. Can even be logged off.

I fleet up with my noctis alt and keep him at safespots during missions, not in the same systems at times, and he can always loot the sites. even if the missioning main is in station turning the mission in and getting the next one. In busy missioning systems with a lot of thieves I keep them closer together. It's esp. funny when a covt ops comes in and tries to outloot/salvage an all V skilled noctis :') Usually they aren't stupid enough to flag with the mission boat, but sometimes you get lucky and extra loot ^^

Thanks for all the suggestions.

My alt was in fleet, but he was docked at a station in a different system, so I guess I may have to keep him in system longer...

There is a bug. I have noticed this myself and what is odd is that the can or wreck is yellow to one pilot but not the others and flags that one pilot. All pilots are in the same corp and fleet though.
