I once had a lucky day trading in Jita.

Put up a buy order for some Dual Heavy Pulse Laser II, about 1.5 mill each.

Some poor guy managed to buy the whole stack for 150 million each, netted myself 8.5 billion! Actually couldn't believe it when I logged in and saw the cash sitting in my wallet.

Accidentally asked for billions instead of millions. Straight

No pop up window though about order exceeding regional average, so i got em backLol

The biggest f-up I personally had was when the new destroyers and the Venture were released in-game.

The day of release saw me net a filthy amount of profit, and then I went to sleep....
Prices crashed overnight, and what once was a filthy amount of profit turned into a financial setback of a quite large amount for myself.
Took me a week to get back on my feet, and make up for the losses I incurred.

Lesson learned: Don't go to sleep with new items/ships on buy on the day they have been released, and most of all, don't be (too) greedy.

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

Somebody once paid me 995,000,000 Isk for a Cap Recharger II. I had them priced somewhere around 650,000 Isk, so I know it wasn't just a misplaced decimal. Best scenario I could come up with was the guy was trying to pass RMT Isk through the market and instead of buying from the guy with a 995m isk sell order, it defaulted to the lowest priced order at that station (me Big smile)

I keep missing numbers from my sell orders because the batteries on KB are running out.

Selling stuff for 10%... Oops

This happened about 5 minutes ago:

was setting up sell orders for deadspace stuff, and instead of 449m, set up the order for 44.9m, for 10 units!

Did not realize, of course, till about a minute later when there were 440m in my wallet, and 4b down the drain!

Edit: am rage-quitting for an hour :)

Any colour you like.

Just accidently bought 7 items for 121m a piece, when they sell for 14m a piece.

Net loss of about 770m

Biggest loss yet for me. This sucks. lol

The first time I listed T1 ammo on the market (after listing things like modules and ships...) I wasn't thinking and put 70-ISK missiles up for something like 70,000 ISK per unit. All told, the broker fee, whose warning I did not examine closely enough because it was nullsec, and prices are always screwy, cost me around 77M ISK. I've since recovered, of course, but, at the time, I was very much on the knife edge of my finances because I was trying to seed a market.

I remember someone buying two antimatter rounds (two little rounds) from me at literally about 300 million ISK each. This made me enough money to extend my game time. Thank you to whoever that was...

Forgot a zero on the collateral for a courier contract once, ended up as 250M for stuff worth almost 2B. For some reason it never made its final destination... ;(

Wasn't my alt, and the trade window was accepted quicklyShockedOops

That's why you always accept with the receiving character first. Blink

That's why you have your alts on your contact list, open trade from contacts rather than station guests.

Like lots of others I've blown a few hundred mill on fees by adding a couple of zeros to the end of a sell order. But I've made way more selling to people who have done the same.

My biggest market blunder was when I was quickly trying fit up a simple Algos in some quiet highsec system. I, for some reason, had the "jumps" tab primaried instead of the "cost" tab, meaning that things closest to me would be at the top of the list instead of the lowest costs.

That in conjunction with being in a hurry meant that I purchased a Damage Control II for 800 million instead of 800 thousand... Was very embarrassing and my friend was very surprised when I kept cussing in corp chat lol.

It turned out ok(ish) though, lesson learnt and I contacted the guy and he told me he'd return 300 million and keep the 500 million, which I was ok with seeing as I thought i'd lost 800 million. Had a laugh about it and all, named the Algos "EXPENSIVE AS ****"

an embarrassing story regardless, but seriously: put the cost tab PRIMARY in your market window.

I payed 730 million for a tec 1 Missile Launcher on 19th on December because the Market was spamed with players selling at those prices for some reason id did not click that it read 730 mil. Maybe eve should just make a maximum and Mimimum price for an Item it was painfull mistake that cost me £30.00. Sad
