Rubicon unstable frame rates and micro stutters

I've been getting unstable frame rates and micro stutters ever since Rubicon launched.

My FPS would fluctuate wildly between around 45 - 80 in Jita. And between around 57 - 67 in an un-populated system.

Even though the FPS chart says I have enough FPS to play smoothly, I am experiencing A LOT of micro stutters.

Is anybody else having this issue?

My system specs:

MSI GT70 gaming laptop
Core i7-4700MQ
12 GB RAM
Geforce GTX 770M
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
Windows 7

Thanks.

Same issue with myself and several people I play with. All various levels of hardware but the same post-patch framerate drop issues. Really glad I resubbed for this.

try switching from "fullscreen" to "fixed window"

We will be investigating this, stuttering frame rates are not acceptable.

I get unstable fps and stutters as soon as I open 2nd account or more, the issue disappear if I'm on single account opened.

I have the same problem. Before Rubicon I was getting stable 60FPS, but now it feels very stuttery. I also get black boxes as ship pictures.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again, but again same problem. Deleting my cache and characters also didn't solve the issue. Surprisingly setting everything to low actually lowers my framerate.

I have had no issue (Ati 7970) but know at least 3 people with this issue all of whom appear to be using Nvidia cards. I originally suspected a driver issue with dx11 and Nvidia drivers in rubicon however one of them also gets the issue with a dx9 card.

I was told by at least two of them that the immediate interval was a bit more bearable (over an interval of one), but still stuttered.

Ever since the Rub patch, I've been having FPS issues as well.

The stange part is that it happens when I'm docked and have the F10 map up so that my screen is all black for market and contracts window usage.

It has dipped to 4 fps!!! To fix it I turn the map off to hangar view and get a solid 60 max fps....

..Unless its on the Mac client. There stutters, freezes and all sort of other bugs are acceptable. Because CCP is unwilling to put in the effort to press Transgaming to get their act together and do their job. And because CCP is unwilling to do their job and code around Transgaming's shortcomings.

For me the biggest stutter is stargate jumps. The tunnel animation stutters quite badly.

Ditch your hipster gear and get a proper gaming rig that is way more powerful at a fraction of the cost. Roll

Point taken. There's only so much I can do but I will make sure your post gets noticed.

I do hope that our optimization efforts will improve things on the Mac, nonetheless.

That would be hard. My MPB was free. And I don't have to be hip, I have it to get my job done. (And its so nice of work to let me play eve on my work computer.)

It seems switching to interval immediate removes stuttering (or noticable stuttering), but that also puts more work on my GPU, and isn't really needed. Please fix!

I have the same problem.
Switching the intervall to immediate solves the stuttering but MSI afterburner shows me that my GPU utilization is at 100%.
Changing post processing to none seems to help too.
Finally i have fps problems if i'm looking in the suns. Is this still a problem? Cause i read a thread from 2012 where this was mentioned.

Well, my issue is that I can't even switch to interval immediate. After restart it says "interval one" again.
The fresh Win7 64bit install, nVidia drivers are up to date.
DX11 client.
Please help.

Same issue here. It seems to be exacerbated when I have multiple clients open.

Frame rates are erratic even when sitting in station doing nothing on all accounts.

My setup is Core I7 960, 12Gb RAM, ATI Radeon 5970. I would usually experience frame rates of around 180 FPS but I keep v-sync switched on to keep it down. Pre-Rubicon it would not drop below its set 60-FPS, now it drops to 40 every second or so and frequently stutters down to 30 and even to 10.

Same, sudden drops in framerate and audio stutters where there would have been no issue before rubicon.
