[PI][UI] Placing multiple factories / links

When placing a factory or link I click the corresponding entry on the left-hand side, then place the item. Having to do this many, many times when creating multiple factory worlds gets annoying fast.

I'd like to click only once on "Create Link" or "Barren Advanced Industry Facility", then place multiple items in a row, without having to reclick every time.

Is there some key I can press while placing an item so the selection remains and I can immediately place another item of the same type? I have tried the usual suspects (shift, ctrl, alt) to no avail.

Searching the forums and the web has turned up nothing, either. Does anyone know if this is currently possible, and how to do it?

Links can be created with clicking the building with shift or some other modifiers, forgot which it is.
Also experiment with doubleclicking stuff there are some (not enough) shortcuts.

Unfortunately, I know of no mechanism to create more than one facility per click on the facility type in the menu. There have been several threads suggesting templates for placing facilities. This is but one idea among many good PI interface upgrade ideas.

Also, to create a link, right click a facility, select create link, then left click the facility you want to link to. Still too many clicks. Join the PI revolution today.

For links:

press ctrl, leftclick structure, release ctrl, leftclick target

no shortcut for schematics or routing. I refuse to ever move anything but the extractor head itself once a planet is setup.

I had to relocate 2 factory planets due to a sudden increase in taxes. ;)

Anyway, thanks for all the helpful replies! :)
