Y'know I was looking for a good excuse to tear down all my factories, because PI was boring as heck and was really starting to grate on my nerves. I only kept at it for so long because the ISK was decent. Welp, not anymore, and no ISK = no motivation.
Whip out the sledgehammers, boys, time to close these shops up for good. Thanks CCP! Big smile

No seriously, thanks! Now I can spend more time doing things that I actually enjoy and can happily put your dysfunctional PI system behind me for good with zero regrets. You've actually made the game better by removing PI from 90% of the playerbase's reach.

Maybe that's not how you wanted to make it better, but whatever - it got the job done, and that's what counts, right? More free time for shooting things YAY! Pirate

For most players.

Carebears love that kind of crap. If it's boring, they gobble it up.

And this is why high sec players control so much Sov.... Wait a minute. Something isn't right here.

No, you're right, you just didn't continue the line of thinking.

They don't control Sov because they are no good at shooting anything that genuinely fights back. Rats, structures, asteroids? Carebears grind those down with no problem.

[Edit: Also, been wanting to say this since I saw the title. POCO es mui beno con "Shake and Bake"!

Highseccers amuse me to no end, at times. I just got a 3 paragraph screed about how I'm ruining EVE. I blasted all the interbus pocos in my PI chain, and set up my own. Set a tax rate of 2%.

There really are highseccers out there who'd rather make 17% customs tax disappear into the ether, than pay another player 2%. THAT'S PVE dedication, folks.

7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided. --Eve New Player Guide

I wonder how much highsec PI dropped after the first few days of astronomical taxes. And if any of that PI got moved into lowsec or other areas.

The more people quit PI the better my corps opportunities to get more ISKs from PI.

Simple as that.

Would you mind forwarding that to me? I've had to pick up ninja salvaging lately because I am running short on a steady supply of tears. Seems my two biggest marks actually followed through and unsubbed, damn near simultaneously.

People still care about ninja salvage? Really? 80% of that loot confetti vanishes before any one ship can grab it. Who cares if someone ninjas confetti that you weren't going to be able to claim anyway? Makes no sense.

If that doesn't sum up the behaviour of 90% of the Eve player base, I don't know what does!

[insert random rubbish that irritates you personally] is further evidence that Eve is dying/thriving*

I would, but at the moment, it's being used for a fantastic bit of blackmail. I apparently dropped my POCO on his highsec factory planet, and he really doesn't want anyone to gank his hauler while carrying delicious expensive PI products.

It's even worse that said blackmailer can see exactly when he does an import/export cycle...

So is there an easier way to find out which corps own what POCOS than simply going out and looking at all of them? Would be interesting to see who owns the most in each area.

If not it seems kinda silly you can get this amount of info without being able to see something like that

You have to be in system to check. But i m pretty sure rvb has the most by far. Over 150 and counting.

Hmmm maybe instead of renting ratting space we should rent slots in siegefleets.

This idea was originally proposed by Glevon Goblin in the article "Thousands of fleet bears, please ignore."

Interesting read, though I am curious as to whether any null sec entities will realise that it could actually work. CCP almost made it work, though they lacked the skilled FCs required to make a 2000-strong roam into null sec actually function.

The nullsec alliances own the most. They are concealing them across dozens of neutral highsec corps. The goal was to get highsec PIers to pay the nullsec block while not knowing they were doing so, and not knowing who to retaliate against. I would not be surprised if RvB owns the most highsec pocos within a single public entity though.

Watching the evolution of the PI market now is almost better than watching pron. Building up large stock of raw materials was a good call for many people, but even those stocks are not enough to cover the demand. And they say the PI in hi sec sux.. heh!

This could be more succesful then you expect, should you choose to pursue this road.
