Transversal and angular velocity is the key, I've found if fighting outside approach range....

This is excellent!!

I guess my point was to pay more attention to your target...

Focusing on your target, for pve, is good. I usually look at my npc after locking it, and I double click in the direction they are going in. Usually, if I am within web range, which I am most of the time for pve, a few shots later, they are gone. You not only save time, ammo = isk, you get better at looking around the field. I usually look at each opponent when locked to them, then back at my ship, maybe I zoom out, to get reference, then back to the opponent, and so on. This helps me to see everything on the field, and I get to chew through the rats much much quicker. :)

If you are in a bs, and fighting say lil faster ships, you can double click ahead.... in the direction they are going... rather than IN the direction they are going. This helps your bigger ship turn faster. It also gives you an advantage by giving you a LEADING angle... allowing you to hit the lil ships. Hope this makes sense as I don't have a youtube video made explaining exactly what I mean.

So to clarify the noob. If you ship is FLYING in the same direction as your target (in PVE) you will be more likely to hit your target (due to reduced transversal velocity). However to both the noob, and any other noobs reading this : if you try this in PVP the ship you are fighting against will also have the same reduced transversal velocity allowing them greater hp on yourself. - hence defeating the purpose. In fact - you will be working your ass off to change direction to maintain reduced transversal velocity so you as a noob with low skills can survive a pvp battle you probably should not be in, but you will be helping the experienced gate camper pop you faster.

At least you will know when it is time to warp your pod out when the camera focuses on it.....

You can't quantify a space fight with such drivel. If I could -1 your post, I would.

What the OP is posting about is called Kiting. He is just terrible at explaining it. It IS a viable tactic in PVP as long as your ship is faster than the one you are shooting.

I always have Sun Tzu and General Patton quotes close by when I PvP in this internet spaceship video game, eve online.

Ummm? I have no idea what you were looking at but SWA? not me.... Try HU 2005.10.15. Shocked
And if you really want to tell me that 4 days makes a difference at all, sure, but then again, im not posting stuff like this.
Im pretty sure i worked plenty, and experienced not only learning the "learning" skills, but any other skills i needed to go anywhere, including how to do anything i needed to do in game. Oh, and watched the red moon rise Roll

All i can say is maybe people (who have been around just as long as you have) wouldnt assume you are a noob, if you could actually read an employment history, and didnt get so sad when people trolled the crap out of a pretty crazy post.

I think its pretty safe to say that you sir fail. But i wish you the least failure possible in the future, both in your battles, and your queries of employment history. Lol

On the admittedly silly topic, I've always wondered if ungrouping your guns would normalize dps a bit. Like, if your guns are grouped then when you miss they all miss (0 damage), but when you wreck they all wreck (super high damage). This gives a huge variance, and makes the ship perform unpredictably in any given fight. Wouldn't it be better, even if laggier, to ungroup the weapons and gain a more predictable performance? The misses and wrecking shots cancel each other out and true DPS conforms to the average, expected figure. :Edit: I think in Statistics 101 they called this the Law of Large Numbers.

TL; DR -> Ungroup guns for predictable performance you can EFT around. Group guns for bigger crits and more painful and dramatic misses.

Does it work this way?

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.
