Fitting Screen in stations lags out the client and mac and causes crashes. I have done the same in wormholes with no problem. Others have the same problem >> https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3902216#post3902216

I got a freeze, so we still have the freeze bug. One client running, then ran PYFA. The freeze happened upon arrival at a stargate.

Hang on…

Warping, no spinning black bars, just shiny space… Could it be, I dare say, that CCP fixed something for the Mac?!?!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JitOUDxGVig

I did turn on 'post processing' in graphics since I have resources left over from turning shader quality to low, maybe that fixed it, but I'm going to pretend that CCP did something with Ruby 1.0.1

Today's patch for Mac has apparently fixed the "black bars when warping" issue; however, the game still causes the whole system to hang if you attempt to use anything other than "Low" setting for "Shader Quality"

I have the exact same problems even with all the graphics settings at the barest minimum. Client and MacBook lockup during missions forcing a power off. It would be nice if a dev could at least report on the status of fixing this.

Hello,

I'm having major crashes with my client that, as a result, don't allow me to kill the client, tab out, and general crash my whole Mac forcing a power off. The launcher is fine and the client is fine through the character selection, but it almost instantly (less than half a second) crashes as soon as I get in game, the graphics don't load, just the station panel and sidebar. I've tried the repair tool, and that made no difference. I haven't redownloaded the client (I only get 600kbps here, hoping someone with faster internet will try it first and see if it works). I've tried this twenty-odd times so far, failed every time.

I know a couple of others had this problem and have found no solution. I already posted about this in the Rubicon Issues page, hopefully I can see here if it's a wide-spread issue.

I'm using Mavericks that has it's own problems, but I had no problem with Mavericks and the previous expansion.

Another patch to the Mac game client this morning, but still no fix for the Shader Quality hang after selecting the character to use on start.

Fixed the black bars AND the icons! We're moving along now!

You have to clear your cache to get your ship icons.

Yes, it's been two updates since the patch. As of Friday, Nov. 22 at 10pm EST (in the US). My computer
as well as many others are still hard (cold) freezing on load. The login page works fine, but when the
actual game loads, I get just a few icons in the Neocon, then a deep freeze that can only be resolved
with a cold reboot.

I tried changing all my video settings to Medium (which I did) but it didn't solve anything. This client worked
fine before Rubicon.

PS. I have a 27" iMac with 8 gigs of ram and Rubicon is the most stable EVE i've had in a very long time.
The laptop doesn't work at all. Go figure. Although the laptop is running Mavericks and the Desktop M-Lion.

Icons are still corrupted despite the 1.02 release.

And before CCP tells us we need to update our graphics drivers if they can tell us how on a Mac then that would be cool.

Although OS X 10.9.1 is in the works and apparently there is some work being done on the graphics so who knows.

It seems that I was clearing the cache from the wrong place.

I had done it from the Launcher like so many posts were saying but once I did it from within the game everything looks perfect again.

Thanks CCP.

Upon latest update Oh joy!

I get a fatal exception after the "loading bulk data" bar completes. I am running mac osx 10.7.5 mac mini processor 2.3 ghz intel core i5 men 2gb 1333 mhz ddr3 ram. and yes i properly cleared my chache….

**EDIT**
Seem's the mac repairer fails to repair the client and also leads to a full system freeze.

Yet another patch today, November 25, 2013, and still no resolution of the complete system hang when Shader Quality is set to "Medium".

Huge thanks for fixing the ship icon issue in the last patch!

November 28, 2013 patch Rubicon 1.0.4 does not resolve EVE running with Shader Quality set to "Medium" causing the entire Mac GUI to hang.

Must be a Mavericks related problem.

I am running it on 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and have had no problems whatsoever.

One more reason to wait to upgrade my OS!

Adobe was the first one, now EVE is the deal breaker.

I played EVE on 10.9 before the Rubicon release and i hadn't experimented this bug. Some exceptions occurred sometimes but nothing so annoying.

This isn't OS related. It's hardware related.

You probably have a Mac that doesn't have Intel HD Graphics 3000.

You can probably upgrade to Mavericks without any problem, since you have an older Mac with different graphics -- that is if your Mac can even be upgraded to Mavericks.
