Thats exactly the point i was attempting to make. You claimed that repeatedly in that other rant thread, giving a 48 timer saying you would reveal information after that time. You gave your word on that, and you broke it. The only follow up is that you said you withdrew your claim to the 25b. So, does this mean you broke your own word, or were you forced to do so?

In your own words:
"make no mistake the info will be leaked after the time limit", and yet, it wasn't?
"There is no way out of this", except perhaps, to ignore you?
"There really is nothing you can do except pay me" or the ignore thing seems to work too.
"You're being extorted and there is nothing you can do about it." Doing nothing seems quite effective.
"Make no mistake here, the plans will be leaked if a satisfactory payment is not made." Or not......
"I gave my word that it will be 48 hours before I reveal the info" Hmmm, you seem to like words, actually backing them up though........ Sad

I'm not fussed with your plan, as interesting as it sounds, i more interested in knowing more about this massive game-changing secret, and why you backed out of revealing it. Cool

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

Thought this might be of interest

A lot of people feel the same in how they want to play, NPC 0.0 is good for that and he should perhaps try his luck in Stain with Aaron.

There are certain aspects about Stain that make it attractive.

1. Roaming gangs from hisec and lowsec have to pass through sov space first
2. The Russians are at war with N3 so less of them searching for BLOPS targets
3. Decent drops from Officers, faction and hauler spawns
4. Lots of sites
5. R64 Moons that can be siphoned

There are a fair few aggresive PvP entities in Stain, however in my experience they tend to hang around in the northern areas

Issues:

1. Clone coverage is poor, you need to setup a large number of interceptrors or covert ops in clone stations ready for the inevitable loss.
2. The Russians love to do BLOPS, however they are so predictable its laughable
3. Some Emo camper types who like to make things personal operate in the area

The new Mobile Depot, Mobile Tractor Unit and the Siphon are going to make operating in this area easier.

Conclusion, if you are a smart careful player then you can operate very effectively in the area and as long as Aaron assists with logistics then you will find it worthwhile.

I have worked with Aaron before, I got there just before AOV started their anti-Aaron crusade and I spent 6 months there learning how to operate in 0.0. I found him to be totally honest, that in itself makes him better than most to try this sort of thing out with.

There are some changes potentially happening with my alliance and if they happen I will be joining Aaron there and assisting him in getting Hub Zero up and running again.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Hello Drac,

Always a pleasure to hear from you.

Dracvlad is a brilliant Eve player, methodical when undertaking tasks, and, his analytical skills are second to none. Everyone involved in the previous Hub Zero had lots of respect for him (even the enemies).

If Dracvlad is able to be part of this then it is going to be an epic and wonderful adventure. This guy really is a team player in the truest sense.

There are a few guys who I'd like to speak with who were involved in the previous attempts, even some guys who I had disagreements with. Names such as Major Trant, Dagny Bronstien (Bronski), and, Specctor, come to mind.

For those who are interested I set up a chat channel within Eve called "Hub-Zero" feel free to drop by for a chat.

I moved a clone through to stain last night. HUGE area.

Except for 2 systems, completely dead.

Good luck with your colonizing attempts.

Makes me think of Poltergiest Two, where that preacher lured all those people out west and then they died in a cave waiting for salvation.

Maybe I am just overly cynical?

Good grief; I haven't even hit three months play time...

Well, obviously they didn´t have the ability to pod themselves back to civilisation.... along with all the riches and gold they stole from the natives on their way.

As I said before, I followed the story of the first Hub Zero closely and it wasn´t a scam. Quite the opposite, it apparently left the participants a lot richer than before. The fact that this experiment ultimately failed does not change that.
Of course, that was then. I cannot tell if the situation in Stain has changed since.

I joined after the first attempt, just before AOV arrived, in fact my first kill was with AOV on a Stain Empire vaga, and funny enough my first final blow was on the CEO of AOV in his Sabre. I had a lot of fun and learnt a lot, in fact Aaron is actually a very good small gang FC.

The changes in Rubicon (Mobile Depots, Mobile Tractor Units and Siphons) have made it easier with one notable exception (warp speed). Also the sites now make it very easy to make ISK. WH's are a very effective way to get back to HS.

Eve is a game in which trust is so important, it is so very easy to scam people, so its right to be cynical in anything that you can do, I can however give my own view of Aaron, I got close to him during my time there and have kept in contact with him at times since, I was in Stain not long ago, but it was full of -DD- and their woeful attempts to hotdrop... There are a lot of haters who have had issues with Aaron, however the key thing to make clear is that Aaron is honest, I saw him take peoples stuff back to hisec who had decided to leave and had bad mouthed him, he is incapable of scamming anyone.

One accusation thrown at him by the haters was that he was taking excessive profit from the market, however that is a tough one, because the market was open to all so he had to set prices due to that as enemies would just use the market, he would refund the difference to players in the HUB. That was the situation when I arrived and sadly after AOV decided to turn on him, that became the least of our concerns, the AOV split resulted in a large group of people leaving and the remaining people were outnumbered by AOV.

Stain is very quiet now, the Russians have moved onto sov warfare, so it is an ideal time to go there. I am going to setup an operation there starting next week regardless of my alliances direction, hope to see you there!

Dracvlad doesn't lie but he omits a lot.

When Dracvlad says "Aaron is actually a very good small gang FC" then he is right. But you should ask yourself whether being a small gang FC (with a very heavy emphasis on picking his fights btw) is really the most important qualification you would expect from a leader of such a loose cooperative as Aaron proposes.

When Dracvlad says "Aaron is honest [...], he is incapable of scamming anyone" then he is again right but again you should ask yourself whether this is actually an important (or even a beneficial!) trait of character in this situation. E.g. The Mittani is definitely not always honest and very capable of scamming people yet the alliance lead by him seems to be doing quite well if I dare say so.

I will try and be objective; want to see a:

1: Clear mission statement.
2: Strategic assessment.
3: Sustainability assessment.
4: Leadership qualification summary.

Reading this thread reminds me of how awful most of us nullsec players are. OP is right. Highsec'ers are both outnumbering us and out-playing us.

I'll join up with you. I have a JF to ship your stuff down there, and maybe I could help managing the wallets and stuff. Please convo me ingame.

Aaron did say that he was not looking to lead it, but he wants to be a part of it, this is what he tried to do when I was around after AOV decided that they wanted the system we were in. This is how I saw it when I was there and was one of the leaders.

1. Create a market HUB around which a loose group would operate to farm the selected area in Stain.
a) Would apply a modified NRDS approach, neutrals being assessed on threat posed.
b) Use +10 for core and +5 for newer or less core.
c) Supply logistics for those unable to do it themselves
d) create an area of control in which our members can operate by use of intel channels and scouts

2. Stain has always been dominated by Russian alliances, most notably Stain Empire and their allies such as Coven (Polish) and their capital is 4GQ-XQ, -A- often retreat into LGK-VP in their annual ebb and flow, around that smaller alliances that want to break into 0.0 often move in, it is noted that those groups tend to operate around the following clone systems NRT4-U, 1H4V-O, T-8UOF (this area gets heavily fought over) RRWI-5 and a non-clone system W-Q233 which has two clone stations 3 jumps below it. The pipe systems from DSS-EZ to 4GQ-XQ have a number of entities in there farming the pipe for kills.

Selected operating area will be based around that. As stated previously the various Russian alliances along with the CFC are focusing on N3 which will mean very limited threat potential from -DD- and their allies. Giving time to put in place the operation. It should be noted that US and AU TZ players will have it a lot easier as compared to EU TZ when -DD- and co have settled their sov war and look to farm Stain.

3. Before the war against N3 has ended the Hub-Zero project needs to create a functioning market and be able to call upon 30 core players for PvP to secure the area, aiming for a on call fleet size of 12 people. Carrier based logistics will be the prime way of moving items, and Black Frog will be utilised for bigger loads. Over time JF and carrier logistics will be carried out by trusted entities within the core group. Logistics will be on a charged basis to maintain this infastructure. Certain core entities will support and initially sustain new arrivals to get them on their feet.

4. Aaron was successful in the first attempt, up until a disagreement with other leading types over NRDS / NBSI during a gate camp. From that point the project was riven by hard feelings and bitter infighting. In my opinion Aaron has learnt from that. The second attempt was too soon and was badly affected by the continuation of those conflicts, in Eve many conflicts occur due to ego of leading types clashing and fracturing alliances and corps. That being said, the first attempt proves that the concept works and that Aaron as a facilitator and stakeholder will be of high value to this project.

Myself, created Taishi Combine as CEO, at one point it went up to 80 toons, I have been a director of SASCP and the SAS alliance, I was second in command and a founding leader of the Pirate Nation alliance and Taishi was the major corp in that alliance during the time that they held sov. I have been involved in some major wars, my Amarr combat toon was one of the 300 that killed the SBU in Tribute in the NCDOT defence of their HQ system in the race against the station.

That is how I see it.

Hi Flo,

Hope you are well, I appreciate the post and quite understand that you will not be part of this, I actually expect the CFC to win Eve, this next war against N3 may be epic, though NCDOT does appear to be getting into "I did not want this space anyway" mode... Hope you have fun in it.
