So im having the hardest time getting my pos to shoot at everything.

Heres the situation.

ive a POS in nullsec, and I want it to shoot at EVERYTHING that I havn't marked blue to corp..

Now I figured the interface looked really simple so I didn't really figure it to be difficult. So I set the top line to attack if standing is below 5.0 and I set the bottom line to attack if sec status is lower then 10.0, with the other 2 boxes checked.

With those settings it seems to shoot at everything, except corpmates, without considering blues.

The next way I tried is setting the "attack if sec status is lower then 0.0" hoping that it will still shoot at anyone that I didn't make blue.

at least this way it doesn't shoot at blues but I dont think its shooting at neuts now (it seems to shoot at reds but not neuts)

For such a seemingly simple interface it seems quite confusing.


Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

What would be the ideal settings I would put it at to shoot EVERYTHING but corpmates and ppl/corps I make blue?

It's been a long time since I set up a POS...
But, there is a setting that states "shoot if aggressed" or something similar. It's deceiving.
The tower will protect itself when aggressed anyways..
"Shoot if aggressed" recognizes pilot aggression, so if your blue pilots were just aggressed, and they land on your bubble, they will be shot.
Uncheck Shoot if aggressed.
Uncheck sec status as well. Many of your own pilots may have -10 sec status.
You want standings set at +4. That way +5 pilots are clearly recognized. (Our towers were +9) If I recall...

By default, the pos shoots no one unless it is attacked or someone takes manual control of it. Since you're in nullsec, the settings are simple because you can just have the pos shoot any ol' bloke who warps to your pos.

The problem in your first scenario is that you set the pos to attack anyone with a sec status under 10.0, which is pretty much everyone since not many get a sec status that high. Remember that setting more options only causes the pos to shoot at more people.

The setting you're looking for is "Attack if standing below" set to 0.1. This will cause the pos to shoot anyone that has a standing of less than 0.1 with you (since people are at 0 by default, this includes neutrals) and ignore everyone you have set blue. You really shouldn't need to mess with anything else, except to use alliance standings too if you have them.
