I have seen the previous models made when I was researching what to build myself. They are good models but I want something really epic on display at home.

I wonder how fast the last ships sold out?


I would buy one in a hart beat I do know that much and judging by your work they are going to be far superior to the battleship models CCP was selling a few years go.

I'll post a photo somewhere of this model I'm doing for a commercial (that's been keeping me away from EVE models!), it's turning out quite awesome. I want to finish it ASAP though so I can have a very belated weekend then start the Venture!!

Haha, maybe I will, I do love the design! I still need to get my hands on one in TQ. 700m is a bit much ATM :-/

It would depend on the courier, I think FED-EX charge about NZ$200 for a 10kg package to the UK/EU, I suppose it depends how quickly you want it delivered. There might also be additional local import taxes payable by the purchaser.

As with a previous poster I'd be very interested in buying one, especially if it was in a kit format which would keep the cost down a little.

How long did it take you to do the model in OP? Also, once you are decided about the Venture model: how long do you expect it will take you to fully construct it?

And one more mby inapropriate question: Do you have any price estimate of your models? Just curious Roll

Hey,
Thanks for the questions! The Von Braun took about 2 months to build and is huge, 7 foot long and weighs about 130kg.
It also has about $6000 worth of fiber optic drivers and 800 meters of polymer fiber inside it!

I wond be working on the Venture full time so it will probably take 3-4 week at a rough guess and since I'll be using some electrics in her as well it would probably be worth quite a bit seeing as it's a one off and a decent size. I'm basically going for a full blown film able miniature with it.

Once I start building it I will get a much better idea!

Well it was a rush job to me haha. 55 hours work from Sunday to Thursday!
Thanks though, I wasn't sure if anyone in the EVE Forums would want to see models of that nature but I went ahead and posted

Anyone know of a good international supplier of light emiting diode controllers?
I'm thinking of using a tamiya RC kit to run the bulk of them and rewiring a few with self blinking/strobing diodes and hardwiring that to a wall plug for all year round display bling.

Slightly off topic .... but there is probably some potential for developing an EVE based tabletop miniatures game. Possibly even using a variant of the NZ based Flames of War rules.

EVE Chess would be very achievable ! You could even do it race specific. Like and amarr vs minmatar version !
