Not really that exciting though. I don't see a lot of player owned custom offices in hi-sec.

They are spreading out slowly.

The most disappointing and at the time most predictable thing is that there wont really be any real fighting over the POCOs. Most of the big alliances have come to an agreement to share the wealth rather than waste time flighting each other.

We will see some small groups trying to take some of the more out of the way POCOs but all the really valuable ones will be in the hands of the big alliances within a few weeks.

There is nothing wrong with that. Any Eve player could have told you that the moment they were announced.

My assumption is that it was a deal done by CCP to compensate the 0.0 alliances for the loss of the really valuable Moon goo.

the bit I can't wait for is the next Burn Jita, or Ice interdiction. You know that the tax rates will hit 100% while thats going down. Then it will be great fun watching the market lose a massive % of its PI production overnight. If I were you, I would keep a month or twos worth of fuel in the bank at all times.

I don't think too many big null sec alliances would waste time to defend a hi-sec poco. I could see big hi-sec alliances doing that. Anyways we've popped 9 custom offices and no one has put up a poco yet.

Come to The Forge & parts of Lonetrek bordering Jita. Hundreds have gone up in this area. RvB alone took 90 or so down yesterday & this morning.

If the big alliances get theirs its not like it'll stay that way forever. Taking down POCOs is easy and fairly low risk. You just need to not be in a tiny corp.

You just need 6 POCOs on small radius factory planets to get all the value they need.

I wouldn't invoke conspiracy with the notion of a "deal" here, but the idea that CCP may have done this to compensate large alliances for lost moongoo profits is interesting. However holding moons is way easier than holding POCOs, and smaller groups will be on much more even ground vs larger ones.

According to eve-kill, there has been ~1400 high sec COs destroyed so far. Assuming there's ~10k high sec planets, we're well on our way.

Dumb = Setting tax rate higher than Interbus tax rate. That only encourages people to stop or move.

Are you aware of the EHP that a Customs Office has? It takes a while to kill them.

And ss I've said on quite a few threads now...Give the new features a while to get integrated. When a new iPhone, or Corvette, or whatever is released and for sale to the public, it takes a while for everyone before you start seeing them around. Be patient.

14.5m ehp and it takes my small squad about 38 minutes to kill one. God bless lasers and drones.

We were taking them down in about five minutes yesterday. Pirate

If you train the new PI tax skill to 5, the 5% npc tax plus the RvB tax is equal to the old interbus tax. In fact, since CCP adjusted the valuation, you will pay *less*.

You are welcome

Our neutral rate is 5%. Then add the default 10% NPC rate and its 15%, 2% lower than current IBCO tax of 17%. Obviously trained Customs Code Expertise shift that down to 5% and you pay a grand total of 10%

Unless I derped on one of my POCOs somewhere - and I may have as I have to configure each one as I go. Ive done like 60 of them at this point, mistakes may be made.

With the state of power projection (or rather lack thereof) in highsec, just post scouts in adjacent systems and bugger off when you see an enemy fleet approaching. If you know what you're doing you can take down a POCO with zero risk. Reinforce a couple, then send your fleet to kill the one they don't defend.

No, no, that would never work. I'm sure Goons would be perfectly willing to drop everything and rush a large force to high sec to cover all of their POCOs on a daily basis.

The most powerful tool in Goons' arsenal, at least with respect to the "War on Highsec", is the learned helplessness of highsec players.

The thing is though, high sec pocos don't really make that much isk. When you look at how much it would take to wardec someone, kill their poco, put up and upgrade your own. All so you can get a fraction of some tiny amount of PI from players with thousands of planets to choose from?

They'll barely be worth the time they take to shoot.

almost 2,000 InterBus custom offices have been destroyed since Rubicon was released, with 1,000 in the first 12 hours. That's almost 18% of the highsec customs offices (there is around 9,500 planets in highsec) so I really wouldn't call that slow.
