Are you in a criminal neonazi gang

Interesting question to come from someone in an organization that boosts the self-esteem of its members by convincing said membership that they are special and better than everybody else just by being members of the organization. Do I need to cite the rhetoric and the reuse of the old propaganda posters too?

Where have we seen that before in history?

The answer is in your question.

I do not have guns nor do I live for free in a GSF terrorist training camp

How is that cult compound in Montana working out for you?

Never been to Montana.

Bragging about guns. Well done.

I don't brag about guns. They're tools. Might as well talk up my ratchet set. But I know where you are trying to go. You want to say I am "bragging about guns" because I'm butthurt or something. I had a cousin once who would hit on women, and when they told him to hit the road, he'd come back and be like "Hey, she got mad. That means she really wants me". So I can see how the tear harvesters in this game are. It's like that scene from Full Metal Jacket. "If they run, they're VC. If they don't run, they're well disciplined VC", as the person making that comment machine-gunned non-combatants from a helicopter.

So in Babysitting Online, if you get ganked and say something, it's tears. If you don't say something, then you are so upset you're speechless, and it's still tears.

And this is the mentality that normal people see in the game and move on. Nobody liked my creeper cousin, and if it cost 15 bucks a month to put up with him, we'd have arranged a hunting accident.

In the meantime, to further dispel this "he's mad so he's bragging about guns to scare us" routine, I never had anything to do with PI. When PI was introduced I read threadnaughts complaining about what a clickfest it was. PI struck me as being a bit "SimCity-ish" and I never had any interest in games like that. I like to wander nullsec and explore, not bounce around some route clicking on things. What dosage of Ritalin makes such a thing possible in a game, I have no idea.

So, I hope that everybody got to see what my creepy cousin's mindset is like and why we only have 300K players for a game that's been around for a decade.

I really hadn't thought about it that much. It was only a comment on the mere mention of them in a discussion. I'm from Northern Ireland. I've seen enough guns to know I don't like them or the people who carry them. And I certainly don't like anyone who uses guns in an argument.

We've only just managed to get them out of the argument over here.Big smile

I was only being honest about my point of the importance of RL friends over in-game friends. But I live in a different culture where guns are valued for their utility and/or collectability (depending on the device itself, condition, etc). Mentioning guns in an argument about something unrelated is not considered making a threat. Now, saying you are going to use one, or if the situation is RL perhaps, showing one, that's a threat. Yes I have been given guns by RL friends INSTEAD of fake in-game guns by people I never met and probably never will.

But I see from where you are coming from, and the history of that region, you would see things differently. So my apologies if you were made uncomfortable by my post.

Just really, really weird.

'Hi, how are you today?'

Did you want to go see the new Thor Movie?

I agree that it's not a threat, per se, but it is a bit of a bizarre non-sequitur. We were talking about pocos and suddenly firearms which, for some reason, was apparently meant to be illustrative of your RL popularity.

That's how I know they're my friends. Also, I have a creepy cousin I'd kill in a heartbeat.

Hey, I know. Let's just let the Goons have ALL the BPO's. They will take care of all our needs and we will NEVER want for anything again.

Don't get me started on the Gen 4s or you'll be seeing real tears.

My problem with this topic is the "pile on the noobs" attitude that some players exhibit. While I'm not Mr. Gamer, having played everything, I have seen the effect of games that are arranged such that newcomers are severely handicapped. The kind of response I originally mentioned I have witnessed myself. Of course the game has way more dimensions and content than such a one-sided impression, but impressions are everything. And if things are set up so that trying out game content is nearly impossible, then a one-dimensional experience is all players will get. What will be the solution in the long run? Will it be a noob started zone where they can try everything in safety before setting out into the "real" world? I would bet that some of the same people basking in the butthurt now will be griping about "amusement park gaming" and "CCP favors carebears" if CCP had to resort to such measures. I have written many times that in a sandbox if you take the pale and shovel and make being in the sandbox all about hitting the other kids with the pale and shovel and then pointing and laughing, "Mommy" (CCP) will have to take away the pale and shovel (or nerf the hell out of it). Be nice to the noobs for these little ducklings will grow up to be drakes (literally) and they'll be worth the ammo you use to kill them.

After all this I wonder if CCP thinks there are too many people stuck on PI and are trying to get them off it, but rather than arbitrarily knock down PI, get the players to do the dirty work. Well played, CCP.

Seeing that I have derailed the thread from PoCos and have no tear investment in the matter (I really don't have interest in PI) I will take my leave.

We would be more than happy to receive all BPOs you'd care to donate.
As the subject was about POCOs and just in case you meant them as well, you're also more than welcome to donate your pocos to us as well.

Good. Hopefully stuff like this will cause people to go to lowsec/nullsec for PI materials. The more targets the better.

This thread is weird.

There is this huge elephant standing in the middle of the room, but everybody is so busy with whining over taxes or falling for the usual, tedious Grrr Goons rhetorics that our pachydermic friend gets completely neglected.

So RvB and GSF have just announced that they are allied- not just for a singular event like "Burn Jita", but for the foreseeable future ShockedShockedShockedShocked

My mind just got blown into a million little pieces....

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Maybe if we had crazy inbred neonazi families that we selectively culled through hunting accidents we'd be as cool as that guy.

You know if it bothers you that much, then boycott PI all together and prevent them from reaping taxes.

I mean I'm boycotting it because its not really that much money in highsec. If I was in a wormhole it would be a different story.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?
