If you want reasonable tax rates, come up to The Forge and look for an RvB-R or an RvB-B owned POCO, we have good rates for neutrals - 5% from us, and a recommendation to train Customs Code Expertise to V to knock the NPC tax down to 5% also, giving you a very favourable 10%

(When compared to the Interbus basic rate on the remaining Interbus Offices).

or really understand economy...and want you to either gtfo or turn to lowsec where the can gank you....

Man up. Do your PI in lowsec .

Also. Beware of those low tax poco's. They are honey traps and you'll get held to ransom. Like RL, expect to get taxed enough that you'll resent it every month but not enough that you'll give up completely.

The RvB tax is very reasonable, I'm paying 15% on some of my lowsec planets. PI has just had a buff with the new deployable structures so expect your profits to climb, and as taxes are indexed over three months market rates iirc now is a better time than any to get farmin'

And if the location of the RvB customs offices are not to your liking, there are plenty of customs offices run by Goonswarm Federation in cooperation with RvB as part of the RvBee Collective. You'll be able to identify them by looking for our ticker. Regardless of location, all RvBee Collective controlled POCOs have the same low 5% tax rate! Cool

Do you plan to complete this takeover? As of right now there are still a few in the Jita-area under different management and I am worried that my goods will be improperly handled on route from the planet surface. Already I have seen Livestock with suspicious sticky substances on their hindquarters and an unruly behaviour as if something has got them scared of human handlers. My customers prefer to give the animals that treatment themselves.

Sorry, low sec PI is screwed also. Way higher import / export taxes.

Cost is around 130m to put up a POCO, it would take me years to make up the cost.

Not like I kept up on my PI much in the first place, but now, why bother.

It's the goons I win button.

Oh certainly. Some miscreants managed to get to a few offices before we did. The RvBee Customs Authority will be correcting this issue in short order.

I made over 500 mill this month over 15 planets for about 30-40 minutes at the keyboard and payed 23 mill in import/export taxes. I let a few cycles go past too. That's with a nominal 10% tax rate apart from two 15% poco's that will probably get replaced by the previous 10% landlords soon.

Lowsec is fine. I'm 4 jumps from Amarr and 10 from jita.

Would you prefer they tried to make them into something else?

I have seen those games where newcomers who come in cold, that is, not invited by a friend who can send a contingent of fighters/ships/teleport/etc to "save" them from no-lifes at the entry point who wait all day to kill everything that moves, and they spend a few minutes there, and then realize "Oh, I don't already have a bunch of friends to join with and I'll spend all day getting killed for someone else's enjoyment? Crap game".

I know I know. For many people, making Eve become "that game" is their game, and when the End of Life is announced for the game someday they'll high five each other.

Not everybody likes to rely on being in a pack to do every little thing in a game. We enjoy company in real life.

I don't brag about guns. They're tools. Might as well talk up my ratchet set. But I know where you are trying to go. You want to say I am "bragging about guns" because I'm butthurt or something. I had a cousin once who would hit on women, and when they told him to hit the road, he'd come back and be like "Hey, she got mad. That means she really wants me". So I can see how the tear harvesters in this game are. It's like that scene from Full Metal Jacket. "If they run, they're VC. If they don't run, they're well disciplined VC", as the person making that comment machine-gunned non-combatants from a helicopter.

So in Babysitting Online, if you get ganked and say something, it's tears. If you don't say something, then you are so upset you're speechless, and it's still tears. The same thing for content or rule changes. If you say something about it, it's tears.

You can go to Walmart and get tears in a bottle for around 8 bucks.

And this is the mentality that normal people see in the game and move on. Nobody liked my creeper cousin, and if it cost 15 bucks a month to put up with him, we'd have arranged a hunting accident.

In the meantime, to further dispel this "he's mad about PI changes so he's bragging about guns to scare us" routine, I never had anything to do with PI. When PI was introduced I read threadnaughts complaining about what a clickfest it was. PI struck me as being a bit "SimCity-ish" and I never had any interest in games like that. I like to wander nullsec and explore, not bounce around some route clicking on things. What dosage of Ritalin makes such a thing possible in a game, I have no idea. The thought of putting up with PI and thinking about the people who can makes me feel a little sick inside. It's like going through the house of a hoarder and imagining what it would be like having to sort everything out.

So, I hope that everybody got to see what my creepy cousin's mindset is like in the last few posts and why we only have 300K players for a game that's been around for a decade. But then maybe PI itself is already enough evidence of dysfunction.

Interesting question to come from someone in an organization that boosts the self-esteem of its members by convincing said membership that they are special and better than everybody else just by being members of the organization. Do I need to cite the rhetoric and the reuse of the old propaganda posters too?

Where have we seen that before in history?

The answer is in your question.

I really hadn't thought about it that much. It was only a comment on the mere mention of them in a discussion. I'm from Northern Ireland. I've seen enough guns to know I don't like them or the people who carry them. And I certainly don't like anyone who uses guns in an argument.

We've only just managed to get them out of the argument over here.Big smile
