Not many of you here in the summit know me. In fact I could probably count on one hand how many do. However, that will not stop me from saying what I am about to say. We all start somewhere, right?

I am not going to tell you my life story. That would take too long and I am sure that most of you don't care, so I will keep this short. I am a former slave, freed by the love of my life, who proved to me that not all humans are bad people, and that there is a God that loves me and wants the best for me and my people. And in 12 hours I will be finalizing the paperwork to join the 24th Imperial Crusade to fight for my adopted nation.

I have seen the darkness that is Amarr, but I have also seen its light. The good in the hearts of God's people. I want to fight to protect them, and to possibly bring more of my own people over to God's will.

For those that will soon consider me to be their enemy I ask you to please not judge me for things others have done, but for what I am about to do.

May God's light shine on you.

I applaud your honesty. There are few who would agree with you position among your people, and I understand why. The slavery propagated by my people is unfortunate.

My own search for God has taken me to the farthest regions of wormhole space. My faith is shaken by all I find, but with strength I hope to continue. There must be some sense to this broken universe.

Stay strong, I do not doubt that many will persecute you for position, I know I have been ostracized by my friends and family for mine.

We humans are silly creatures. All of us with our own views and understanding of the universe that in our own minds we believe is correct. I believe God truly wants good lives for all of us, and I hope that one day more will see what I see. Thank you Fred for bringing humor to what I feared was going to be a public hazing.

I can assure you in joining the Empyrean wars you will have a proper hazing soon enough.

As Amarrians often say, "Surround yourself with the faithful, Stand together, for there is no strength like it under the heavens."
Should you follow this concept, should you fight for your God and God's people, you will never be alone. If you will be ready to give your life for them, you will be times stronger than any of so called 'freedom fighters' or individualists. Ability to sacrifice ourselves for those, whom we love, is what makes us actually sentient beings, as opposed to animals, who seek only their own petty interests.

I wish you best of luck, and, maybe, someday we will fight together to ensure bright future for our peoples.

I'm happy that more and more people get out of slavery, you being one of them, but following a god that's not there is not rational nor logical.

I must admit, all this freed slaves and slave-freeing is making you Amarrians appear a bit... meek. I suppose that's an acceptable euphemism?

But in any case, good luck in your future ventures, ms. Valador.

How am I the one being ignorant? I'm not the one following an invisible god. Just because the religion has numbers, doesn't make it right. There is only space and man, nothing above, nothing below. There is no "almighty" god who serves in the favour of the Amarr or those who believe in him.

You are answering your questions yourself.
Just a phrase "following an invisible god" makes you an ignorant and illiterate foul, who tries to judge religion, he knows nothing about, just to insult its followers.

I think I am starting to like you. If numbers don't make you right, then the whole gallentean democracy is based on misconception and must be removed, as degenerating and corrupting idea. I am happy, you understand this.
Now, if we teach you to respect other cultures and other beliefs, we could even try to start making a human out of you.

It's a simple admission of fact. We Amarrians don't get to put our pride above our position as teachers in the cluster. The simple fact is that, if after nine generations, a Holder hasn't taught a slave family to be productive Amarrians, then it isn't the slaves that are at fault. Those Holders really don't deserve their charges; they're simply using them as a disposable labor force. That is not what the Scriptures prescribe slavery to do. It's meant to remove people from the common evils of society until they know how best to handle it.

It's much better to admit you have a problem and to fix it. We know there are Holders who really do not need to be Holders and slave lines in their care are not being properly taught self-sustenance. Their slaves either need to be freed to someone else's care or allowed to take their place in society after that many generations of indentured labor.

We don't worry about perception, especially considering our size. The emancipation was the right thing to do to correct an ignole truth about our Empire. If it makes us seem meek, then so be it. We are hopefully far more concerned about the judgement of the Lord than by capsuleer culture.

"What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?"

Don't compare numbers in religion and democracy, they are on two different spectrum's. Illiterate and ignorant you say? Tell me, what has religion done for anyone besides some "hope" and countless of wars. From countless of hours wasted on "worshiping", when you could have done something more productive, or maybe even a gotten a hobby. We humans might have required religion in the past, but not now, not when we control the skies.

The time of religion has passed, and the only reason it's still here is because conservative fools like you, who can't let go of an idea or a tradition. You have been brainwashed since birth, and you have kept on brainwashing yourself through all of this "God" nonsense. This is the apex of the placebo effect. You're ignorant of reality, and you're too stubborn to realize that you are wrong. Religion didn't bring us to the skies, science and technology did. So keeping on supporting a idea that's not real, or that doesn't benefit anyone besides becoming slaves of zealotism, makes you the ignorant one.

Mr. Bachir,

Despite your opinion of faith and the faithful, it is difficult to argue with thousands of years of success.

By far the largest empire with by far the most people follow the Amarr faith, misguided as it may be.

Billions of individuals in the other Empires follow a religion of one form or another.

Non-believers of your persuasion make up the tiniest of minorities in the great swath of humanity. A non-believing drop in an otherwise spiritual ocean.

I know you Federal types are all about minorities being more important, though.

I'll add that religion and technology are not mutually exclusive, although your ignorance in some of these basic realities might prevent you from accepting such a thing.
