For those who needs to patch manually :
http://content.eveonline.com/653401/EVE_Online_630374-653401_win.zip
(Windows version - 1.2 Go)

For me, impossible with the launcher : 100ko/s max and automatic restart when connection goes down.

Uncompress anywhere the zip and lauch the launcher. Then, click on the setting and look to the patch part. Give it the path of the patch and ok.

For November 25.

You don't put it anywhere. Extract anywhere, start launcher, import the file using the launcher settings and done.

So it's the 24th of December 2013 we are on who knows how many patches this month an still we have the

"The server you are connecting to could not be reached.

Please check your internet settings and restart the EVE Launcher.

The URL that could not be reached was:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/673186/RepairData_673186.dat"

Problem.

Every time there's a patch it's a massive struggle to get the patch now. Last time I actually set up a Macro. It tried Over and Over and Over without changing ANY settings and about an hour or two later... it worked. Which means it's EVE. I like this game. I do. but not enough to spend hours trying to find a new solution to the patching problem EVERY 3 or 4 days.

Yes I know, everybody else can get their patch with no problem. If I can log in, and I can.... I should be able to get my patch too. I can't. In every other game it works fine. Mind you that's only 3 or 4 major titles in the last month or two, but still. That means SOMETHING outside my of PC is preventing it. SOMETHING means somebody got "clever". Generally for "security". It probably only effects 1 in a hundred people. Speaking as the 1, Thank you. I feel very secure in my inability to update the game. Pirates and low Priced Commodities are safe from my meddling interference.

I've never had an inability to patch a freaking video game before. Not since the late 90's anyway. Is there an actual reason why we can't download the patch manually? No offense to whoever designed the hated Launcher .... Well OK some Offense ... but why WHY can't we be allowed to get the patch in ANY other way? Is there an actual reason? Instead of these LONG drawn out tedious discussions about firewalls and proxy servers and AntiVirus settings, we could just say "Oh patch won't go through, hmm better get it manually." DONE.

Instead I have to alter my every setting in an often vain attempt to get the patch to download "Properly". Thank you. It's been a Joy. I'll check back in a few months to see if the next Patch will let me download it.

Please don't let whoever it was that came up with the .... and let's be generous here .. "Idea" .. to do it this way get away from you. EVER. I play other games, I don't want them infested by his or her's particular brand of "Competence".

How about a 661006 to 673186 manual patch? Stupid launcher failed again at 100% & repair tool won't fix the problem.

Argh!

Questions about the patch.
Looks like I have a ghost file from the patch download. It's in my program files\CCP\EVE folder: "EVE_Online_681196-708191_win.zip.download".

It's about a gig.

1) I junction my client so I can run multiple simultaneously. It seems this .download file was duplicated across both junctions. Would it be safe to move/delete one or both files?

2) I'd like to back up the patches if possible. Would I be able to use the .download file above? It seems like it's the full file (filesize seems right).

I don't need to download the patch. Just wondering if I can backup the "temp-looking files" (ie if they can be used to patch) and also if I can delete them from my game directories thereafter. It's one gig in each directory (I use junctions) and space is tighter on an SSD.

Any "dot-download" file is exactly that: a temp download file. You can delete it, but it means that either the download failed, or isn't done yet.

My issue is that, once again, the launcher patch process failed again. I'll try this manual ptch download and see if I can import it via the launcher. I wish CCP would get this fixed once and for all.

What's the file size difference between 708191 and 709728? Getting the launcher to download the patch is like pulling my own teeth since my connection has a tendency to suddenly drop for no apparent reason (and switching my ISP is unfortunately not an option). I'm trying to pull the 681196-708191 zip right now, but i'm just wondering what I'll be in for once that is finally patched.
