Personally I love the Naval Approach with Hunter-Destroyers. Goes apart with How Many push Eve " EVE is REAL" and more Actual Mechanics Bringing it that way I love. In a futuristic Environment I would assume tracking Cloaking Bombers would be more to Active Pinging as the OP suggested with Submarine Warfare. As for them Firing Bombs Cloaked that to should be as Submarine Warfare, If a Submarine Launches anything it pretty much is a giant flare as to where it is, just like in Naval Combat. No Mechanic should directly have an Immunity. Kind of like them running around removing all the passive Income. There should be risk on the field, on and off Grid. Active Pinging with the Dscan with a new Module, Have it take up a High Slot. Let it Search based upon the Racial Signatures of the ships. Scanning for Magnometric, radar, etc. Could be a new form of Counter Measures. The Destroyers with the right Training can Detect cloaked Vessels Via there projected electronic Footstep.

any ships with drones can decloak within 5 km, because drones stand about 1.5 km from your ship, yoru ship is about 500-1km radius, and the drones have a radius around them for exactly 2 km

There is a easy solution to this problem. Defender Missiles....

If Defender Missiles would also hunt Bombs down, it would be a great revival for them. ;) and a Fleet could take 1-2 Destroyer or Cruiser with Defender missiles, to defend themself against bombing runs.

Its only a idea, but i dont think, its so bad either. There are also good fighting against a Phenix. ;)

Watched Thor Dark World today. And the solution to de-cloaking a Dark Elf spaceship, is to ram it into the Thame's estuary and then carefully ram in into the middle of Greenwich. Hope this helps. Perhaps CCP could add a sort of 'If space ship is rammed into the ground' decloak mechanic...

why is fc making the call to jump when scout(s) has several contacts they cannot see or dscan? Best way to not get ambushed is to not walk into one. This scenario gives off a few hints.


Why are several km loving players (who doesn't like a km, amiright?) not jumping on an easy kill? Answer: they want scout to move on and fc to jump in the real targets. Ships like recons you also do this if you don't think you have the sure kill on a target if bubble sitting solo as well.


Why is local spike not beating on you right away? Answer: FC needs to see where he has peeps clumped up. That will be where the bomber wing is lining up and eating up time doing it. Bombers if you give them clusters of ships they will go for them over players like me who as soon I landed moved myself away from the fuster cluck of ships first thing.
