It looks very ... sci-fi, and it confuses the hell outta me, but I only seen it a few times so far. :) the old one suddenly seems quite retro now.

just make the box of the last toon you logged out on appear in the middle and maybe the background colours be race specific and all will be well

The new login screen is very nice, I like the red as it is reminding me of Red Moon Rising. Speaking of which would it be possible to expand on the number of fixed UI colour presets, especially adding all the previous colour schemes. I'm still using the RMR red scheme but the only way I can get that back after a reinstall is to move the sliders to the values listed in an old screenshot.

Er..then there is an issue. I pay with PLEX and I do not have that indicator.

Giving alts the same importance as your main is a mistake, although i cynically suspect this is a stealth-incentive for dual character training.

I like the aesthetics overall, but in general I'm getting way less information that I care about, and a lot more information that I couldn't care less about.

Plus the portraits of my ugly alts are bigger.

I can't express how much I LOVE the new login screen. I use Red & Black colors for my overview/UI color adjustment and even for my personal avatar portrait. I LOVE IT! - I will be crying when/if it changes to another color due to the expantion

Under the old system the biggest portrait was attributed to the character you last used. In eve all characters have always been treated the same, there aren't any alts really when you get to choose which one is your main identity. Alt or not is a player driven mental choice. I like the new character selection screen though agree with you that less is more in some respects as I too am forced to look at information that is of little relevance or concern to me. The training time indicator is useful though.

I like how it shows the time remaining on the account. It's definitely more informative and useful.
