HS NPC pocos

how do you take down a high sec NPC poco? i heard you needed to be at war with the corp if you wanted to take another corps poco down but what of the NPC? do you just fire on it until it pops?

You can just shoot the NPC. Shoot it until it pops, replace it with yours. You only get the regular NPC aggression counters. Bring a lot of friends, or you will be sitting there all day since they have over 14 million HP. And as far as I know, you do have to be at war with the corp that owns the player controlled ones to shoot them without Concord interference.

I just shot one till it popped today. Took about 6 hours at 900dps.

Your kronos can solo it but you'll want a can full of ammo or something with lasers and sentries.

No need to get hung up on semantics when the meaning is still pretty clear.

It's fairly common on the forum for someone to write NPC poco, but the error doesn't make the actual structure any different. I expect we'll continue to see people type it in.

N.Geddon with T1 multi and Ogre IIs would probably be the best POCO basher, just turn everything on, leave your client open for a couple hours while you do something else. Unless someone bumps you or you DC or something it will just keep firing constantly.

This can easily be worked around by checking the screen periodically and being at the computer when the POCO is low so that you're ready to set up your own as soon as it blows up.

That 'tankless' ship has 60k EHP, so depending on the sec status of the system it's going to cost you alot in order to gank it for a mere expected 20mil drop. You'd have to have a personal vendetta against the dude or really really enjoy griefing/tears.

The latter. Although I would hardly qualify going after a nice killmail like that to be "griefing". It's the guy's own fault for not fitting anything heavier than 2 LSEs on it.

And a handful of cats can hardly be considered "costs alot". Especially when the isk ratio of that kill would about 350%.
