Some help for a highsec exploration Loki

Hi there,

I'm planning to get a Loki for highsec exploration as my first T3 (later I might try it at lowsec, nullsec and WH, but I wanted to start softly with this ship class). I've been searching good fits around the Internet, although there aren't many and most are outdated.

My intention is to run plexes. Still, with the new Mobile Depot, swapping for Data and Relic analyzers is now way easier, so I'd say we can suppose I'd be carrying the 3 on my cargo, and run any kind of sites (save for gas and WH's).

More than just fittings (which are always welcome), I wanted to get your feedback, you exploration-Loki pilots. Paper stats are something, but the real performing is an entirely different matter.

That said, this is a small analysis I did...

Which subsystems? Of course there would be an Emergent Locus Analizer. I'd be using an Adaptative Shielding (shield tank), but what about the rest?
- Being a Minmatar ship, seems like it could use the Fuel Catalyst more than the Chassis Optimization, although I might be wrong... Opinions?
- About Offensive, it would be anything but Covert Reconfiguration. First, seems like the Hardpoint Efficiency Configuration provides a somehow good drone bay and the ability to field both turrets and missiles; however, split weapons systems have a rather bad reputation... Or do you find it workable? Second, we have to choose between autocannons (DPS) and artilleries (alpha)... Seems like the first ones work better with Projectile Scoping Array (RoF, falloff), and the latter ones with Turret Concurrence Registry (damage, optimal, tracking). But, that one leaves us without drones... which seems not very nice. In general, how do you choose your Offensive subsystem and your weapons?
- For Engineering, it's between the Augmented Capacitor Reservoir and the Capacitor Regeneration Matrix. Most of the fits I've seen have the second one, as it grants +1 mid... but the first one grants +1 turret! (seems like a 650 -to- 750 aprox improvement in DPS with AC's) Which one do you usually prefer?

And then, we've got

Many thanks in advance!

PD: please don't simply suggest 'get a Tengu'; I already decided about this ship.

I'm sorry but just get a tengu. The Loki has some nice perks like capless guns, selectable damage type, and super-high resistance to sansha/blood damage, but these do not make up for its absolutely crap dps and projection.

Yeah 450 dps is probably sufficient to do some lowsec stuff but i'll take a bigger tank, 3 times the engagement range, and 50% more dps that i get from a tengu.

For hisec you don't want a t3 anyway, as they can't run 3/10s or 4/10s. You want some kind of HAC, any of which probably work equally well (ishtar/cerb/gila are fairly common choices, the muninn 's application bonus will probably be useful).

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

This. If you want to use a T3, go to low sec. If you want to explore high sec, get... actually, get a Stratios.

Yeah, seems like the Stratios will do the work.

However, I'm still interested about how the Loki works... at lowsec/nullsec/WH (just for learning about it). Batelle, why you say it has very poor damage projection? If you mean range, aren't arties quite long ranguish?

You have to keep in mind aswell that T3 rebalance hasnt been done yet. So it is quite wild card.
