Rubicon *Videocard* Kernel crash+posable fix

hi all,

After today with the new Rubicon patch i experience that my video card Kernel keep crashing.
I have the latest Drivers from Nvidia, I notice the crash accuse mostly when i warp to dock.

I can use some help here What?

Does this happen in DX9 as well? Try changing the setting in the launcher to force the client to DX9, see if that helps. We are looking through crash dumps to try to fix issues like this, but in the meantime this may work for you.

think the problem is gone after clearing the cache, at least it not have crash the kernel for time being Idea

Had a similar issue. I've configured for DX9 and cleared my cache as well. I'll bump the topic if I continue having any problems. Nice to see it wasn't just me ;p

DX9 and clearing the cache didn't quite do it. I managed to last for a while, though.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Cleared cache but it didn't help me. Will try switching to DX9.

I have load station environment off. I'm going to try looking into a few other things real fast, see if I can't isolate what's wrong. It's really only a minor nuisance since it's not completely crashing my system (as it does for League), but it is a nuisance all the same.

Salutation!

After the Rubicon update I experienced the same problem. The game was crashing and/or freezing after 5-15 min of gaming. I use GeForce GTX 570 with updated driver.

I filed a bug report and later found this topic and switched to DX9. I have now traversed the cosmos for 45 minutes without any crash. I'll continue tomorrow evening, but so far the switch to DX9 seem to work for me.

I'm getting the exact same thing.

2x GTX580s in my system. Not in SLi though due to running 3 screens.

Thus far I've had nvidia driver stopped responding, hard lock ups and a blue screen.

Switched over to DX9 and everything seems happy thus far. But I'll keep my eyes on this one.

Should anyone need more specific hardware info I'd be happy to oblige.

Nvidia GTX580 here. Looks like switching to DX9 helped in my case.

Judging from what has been posted here, could this be a GTX500 series and DX11 issue?
I've been having the same problem and I have a GTX580, also in WoW when I use DX11 I get driver crashes there too.

Guess it's time to upgrade to a GTX780...now where did I put that extra $500............

I am also crashing when warping, using GTX 570. Will attempt to go to DX9 and clear cache and see if it helps.

Switching to DX9 and clearing cache did not fix it, crashed with in 2 minutes of logging in.

Hello players and Devs.

I have a Zotac GTX 580 AMP edition.

I have the problem since Rubicon with DX11 selected in the launcher also.

The screen freezes up and I have to alt tab and my monitor shows the DVI symbol and my graphics card makes a strange noise and when I switch back into the EVE client the ui and graphics fade back in and all is well but it happens all over again during random points such as warping and during missions.

I had to reboot a moment ago as Alt tab did not work.

I will switch to DX9 to see if it fixes the problem.

I hope a fix can be implemented for us on 500 series as there must be lots of players using these cards and want to use DX11.

Same issue here.

Asus GTX570.
Crashes often when warping to gate. Can crash at random too, just lost a ship to a crash =/.

Reinstalling at the moment, also gonna try the DX 9 switch and see what happens.

EDIT: And for ... sake, please fix the launcher. Probably the worst peice of EVE-software ever released. (Applying patch 3/4 - CTRL ALT DELTE, restart launcher because its stuck, eeeeveryyytime. And not to mention all the times I had to start using exefile.exe instead of the launcher).

Same issue here.
Since Rubicon frequent EvE Voice drops, and client crashes.

Have cleared cache now and set DX9 and will see what happens.
I hope this is addressed soon.
