Grats RvB for being so busy and fast around Jita! And 15% tax rate is very decent compared to Interbus or other alliances tax rates. Well played.

15% tax rate?

Probably a temporary thing to fleece people that didn't empty their launchpads last night.

Is that 15%, then the concord tax on top, so 25%?

15% is the best tax rate so far for player POCO's, saw other pocos 10 jumps away with 29%... go figure.
Interbus have 17%, not sure if the concord tax is applied over that.

Well if my high sec alts take some, they will be at 7.5, so I'll deffo win that one. Rates have to be half sensible.

Hrm... I do PI in high sec, but for some reason I became disinterested in the piddly amount of money you can make from it so I stopped updating it.

Really, its a waste of time unless you make less than 100 million a month.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

Pre expansion the tax was 10%

Interbus tax is now 17%, but that can be cut in half with the new skill.

If a player corp takes a CO, the NPC tax drops to 10%. Again that can be cut in half with the new skill. On top of that is the player set tax. So say that is set to 15%. The total tax would be 25% with no skill, 20% with max skill.

That is twice the tax we had pre-expansion.

Note: Its not quite this bad. The cost basis for the tax was dropped some 15% to 20%.

Edit: This means if you want to be competitive to Interbus, you need to set a tax rate of less than 3.5% (for someone with maxed out skill).

…and for the “this will spell doom to highsec” people out there, the combination of taxes, skills and rates means that a POCO can conceivably be set up for 7% player tax and still end up with the roughly same cost as before.

Sure, finding an Interbus CO would be cheaper, but is the planet combo you're after available from them…?

Alternatively they could slap the tax up to like 50%, and crush high sec PI making my null PI worth considerably more. Yes please.

About how long would it take 2 battleships to take down a POCO?

Depends on their fit. Probably 2-3 hours though. If it's player owned though, there's a reinforcement timer.

Go try it... there's no reason to ask that on the forums...

Yes please, indeed, except that the continuing capital investment and the poor returns it will generate will probably come out as a worse deal than just taking the 7% from now to eternity.

If someone else sponsored and replaced all those POCOs, though, then sure.

Our no standings/neutral rate is 5%. Then we advise folks to train Customs Code Expertise to V to knock the NPC level down to 5%, resulting in a 10% total from RvB POCOs.

On the other hand, upset me and you get anything from 17% base to 50% ;)

Nope. Only if your doing extraction or P1. But if you do it around a trade hub .. and you know what your doing, then it's a complete different story.

I for one welcome our RvB overlords.
