Just wanted to pop in quickly to say that I had the same problem and switching to DX9 fixed it. Running Intel HD3000 integrated graphics (don't laugh, it's a secondary machine).

OK, cool. And you tried just re-installing the launcher from http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_655130.exe ?

I used this link and nothing changed... in my case icon responsible for switching between dx9 and 11 isnt working;)
As long as You dont give me other way to switch it I will be waiting;) Maybe some other ppl will bump this;) .o/

I have used this link and the launcher runs, however if I quit the launcher and try run it again via the shortcut in my eve folder nothing happens :(

The icon is not responsible for switching between DX9 and DX11, the icon is responsible for opening the settings dialog where you can switch. Personally I have no idea if there is another way to switch, sorry.

Also, since the log file says that the settings window opened just fine, the only thing I could imagine would be some esoteric issue with a 3rd party software on your system interfereing with our embedded browser. Any chance of that? (-;

What does the shortcut look like, e.g. what are its target and its working directory?

From the information you gave me so far it should be located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\cache\" and is called something like launcher.2013.11.19.log - thanks!

No problem, sorry for the inconvenience. This looks like the launcher ran without errors, including starting the EVE client and being shut down.
Are there no error dialogs popping up when you start the launcher again? Have you tried running it as an administrator?

Hm, kinda feel that I have the same type of problem as Gridloader. The launcher works fine but when I press "play" nothing happens. However, I get the exefile runing under processes in the task manager.
Tried to reinstall it, repair it, switch dx11 to dx9. But nothing seems to work.

You mentioned something about a possible program interfering with eve, but In all honesty I have no clue what that can be. Thought it might have changed with the new patch, but no.
