EVE Online: Rubicon - Issues

Scan probes have been affected by warp slowdown mechanic - they do not slow down immediatly - it takes for the probe 7 seconds to enter warp and decelerate at the target destination, so even if the probe has to warp 1 AU - it takes it 7 seconds to do that. Before rubicon warping such distances for probes was immidiate.
Intended or a bug?

You should be able to adjust this using the Texture Quality and LOD Quality settings in the Graphic Content Settings panel of the ESC-menu's Display & Graphics tab.

Please use an appropriate setting for your hardware.

In the Planetary Interaction mode I am unable to scan or to submit changes. The small window does not appear.

There seems to be an issue with some of the ship pictures when you show info. The picture itself is either not there (black screen) or looks corrupted. When you zoom in and pull up the 3d model, the texture seems to not quite load all the way. See link for a screenshot of what i mean. Also, the pics for the new command ships shows the old hulls, but the 3d model shows the correct hull. Asked around and doesn't seem to be happening to everyone. Anyone else having this issue?

Confirm that scan probing is now much slower with new warp mechanic. Feel like pulling hair out. Broken exploration with multiple hoops to jump now has a new hoop.

Clearing your cache and updating the drivers for your specific GPU before a relog may correct this issue.

We are looking into solutions for anyone who reports this bug as persistent following those steps.

Thanks.

It's funny. They seem to manage to break probing at the launch of every expansion.

i played a bit with lod and texture quality it inceases distance when i zoom out so that ship looks normal till some point of zooming out , the higher the lod and tex qual. the more i can zoom out to ships look normal but still when i target npc or press show info on object or ship picture of that object in target selection is black .
also t3 ship looks normal to me whatever zoomed distance is so i am not sure that lod or texture quality have anything to do with this

Cache cleared and drivers are up to date, bug persists. Could it be due to the quality of the GPU. I just have a integrated Intel card for a laptop (Core i3). Don't know if it meets the official min system reqs, but everything else in game runs fine.

Apparently it's due to the LOD. They modified it so that the LOW setting of it is pretty much you have to be rather insanely close to actually view the details on the ships. To me, even at low settings, it's way to close when you actually 'start' losing details. You have to be zoomed in rather close otherwise your ship looks damn odd, specially when flying a relativity small ship.

Needs to be extended, even with LOW. It wasn't like this pre-rubicon in any case.

Yep, zooming in fixes the 3d model texture for me too, so I guess the only real issue is the 2d picture problem.

Since the update, there is a lag between me clicking the eve icon to load the client (link to .exe) and the client rendering.

I think this is directly related to the lag i get when trying to access the escape menu and certain parts therein.

Here is a 24 second video showing the client pausing as i press escape

This is particularly annoying to me because my escape key is in between F1 and my drone control macro keys. So i sometimes hit it by accident in fights.

Spec;

i7 3820 @ 4.6Ghz
ASUS Rampage IV Formula
16GB Quad Channel DDR3 @ 2Ghz

2x ATI HD6970's (not crossfire for EVE, i just run one client on each screen giving each client their own card).

I updated my graphics drivers before making the video.

EDIT - Also get the same pause each time i resize a client window in window mode.

The notes tab in the character-info window seems to be broken. New notes aren't saved, existing notes are sometimes displayed but most of the time not. Confirmed by other players, so it doesn't seem to be a local problem.

I'm heading to bed but get:

"Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."

And a generic eve login screen (ie no expansion theme just eve online with status saying unknown).

My launcher reports ready, I have repaired successfully with no errors (and never any on download and patch). Still same problem.

When I login I login successfully in the launcher then hit play and get "connecting to server" bar which progresses to the end then I get the above. So I have connection to authorise my login.

Regardless I have had a quick look at my firewall settings (I am using bitdefender incase it matters) and can see nothing wrong. binfile.exe in ccp directory still has approval.

I'll check back tomorrow incase there is a solution or to file a support ticket on your advice.

Night all.
