If you are experiencing launcher issues, please follow these steps to fix it:
1. Go to your EVE folder, enter "launcher" directory.
2. Once there, you'll find "launcher.exe" and "launcher.old.exe"
3. Remove launcher.exe
4. rename launcher.old.exe to launcher.exe
5.Then go to "appdata" directory.
6. Remove "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.643940.win32"
7. keep the "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.613956.win32" one

Additonally, the launcher does not Save Settings anymore.

I increased number of download threads and the option to close the launcher after launching. These values (or anthing else) is stored.

It is saved, if you can enter EVE Online just relog and your settings will be there again.

NOPE ... doesn't save the settings at all ... tried setting , saving ... going back and they're back to 5 thread and delete patches.

Tried setting, saving, closing and reopening and again it's back to 5 threads and Delete patches after use.

  • Unable to loot the Siphon module if you are not the owner
  • Mobile Depot’s shield recharge time is at 35 minutes instead of 24 hours.
  • ‘Wetu’ Mobile Depot’s sensor strength is 200 points instead of 250 points.
  • Mobile Depots do not activate if they have brackets disabled throughout the deployable’s anchoring period. (Workaround – leave grid and come back)
  • Show Info is unavailable for ships that are not displayed in ISIS
  • Players who try to login with the old client from starting the launcher a few minutes too early may get a black screen. Kill the client and restart the launcher.

If you are experiencing launcher issues, please follow these steps to fix it:
1. Go to your EVE folder, enter "launcher" directory.
2. Once there, you'll find "launcher.exe" and "launcher.old.exe"
3. Remove launcher.exe
4. rename launcher.old.exe to launcher.exe
5.Then go to "appdata" directory.
6. Remove "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.643940.win32"
7. keep the "EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.613956.win32" one

SImply renaming launcher.old to launcher.exe may not work. If you simply right click on launcher.old and rename it to launcher.exe windows may add the file extension to it again and your launcher will not work.

Right click on launcher.old and select properties. This will open another window. Replace launcher.old with launcher in the top most box and click ok. Close all windows you have opened before launching Eve to prevent any "file in use" conflicts. Keep Calm and Eve On.

hello,

found some bug.

1. Started the launcher as usual.
2. Launcher updates
3. Launcher got broken due to some failure. Report: check your launcher log etc It was written there that some data can not be retrieved.

Workaround

1. Go to your EVE directory on your computer.
2. Click through to "launcher" --> "cache"
3. run "updater.exe"
4. This will take some time as an old version of a launcher will be installed.
5. Run your launcher via your usual shortcut (on your desktop).
6. Launcher will now update to current version.
7. After update, the launcher will close.
8. Reopen the launcher and the patch for Rubicon will be downloaded and installed.

I hope I could help you if you run into the same issue.

EDIT If you do not have the "updater.exe" please go to this site and download it, continue with step 4 of the workaround to fix this issue.http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EVEOnlineLauncher_1_32_tq.exe

"EVE Online: Rubicon Successfully Deployed"

Are you ******* kidding me?!

Your ****** Launcher ****** things up, AGAIN. There wasn't any "success" on customer side, AGAIN.

What happened?
1. Trying to update broke the Launcher.
2. Repair Tool doesn't work because it is... ignoring the Launcher :D
3. Trying to get help in the forums. "Side is under Maintenance" (That moment ****** me really up)
4. Tryed to download the client (well, I wasn't sure if it's not a problem on my side, as I wasn't able to enter the forum), but... new client not yet released in the download section.
5. Entering the forums \o/
6. Following a Workaround posted by another PLAYER.

That's not a successfull deployment, from my point of view.

Btw.:

Thought that was fixed...?

this is driving me mad now.
for some reason dx11 and eve on my pc play don't play nice. when you hit launch it just does nothing
On the dev server/client I just dropped back to dx9 in the launcher settings job done.
however on the live launcher I cant save any of the launcher settings. you hit save and nothing happens return back in there and it says dx 11 still. so consequently I cant drop it back to dx 9.

Obviously fixing dx11 would be the ultimate solution for me but at the moment just dropping back to dx9 will do.

Anyone else got the same issues with saving settings on the launcher?

I detest the launcher and have a direct shortcut to /bin/exefile.exe, which today ended up with the following error message

Quote:
There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status:

Unable to download file /590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe from the server.
Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/590158/evepremiumpatch590158.exe not found

Do you want to go to support page?

Patch seems to download as normal now as I started the launcher manually.

What I did was copy the patch file from the EVE directory while it was patching. Then when it got done patching it deleted the file. So, I used the file I copied and pasted it into my other clients EVE directories and everything updated without having to download the patch again.
