Instead of Biomassing: removal from medical clone program

Players biomass characters for different reasons, and I agree with the 10h timer. I just thought of something that would make biomassing a little more extravagant

could we get an option to remove a pilot from the medical clone program, so that if the pilot dies, the character is gone forever...

full of confirmations, with the 10h timer, and a giant warning confirmation box at undock?

and a blurb in the resulting killmails (no need for a lossmail!) that says the pilot chose to face their final battle...

maybe the biomass timer can serve as this function

That could be a lot of fun, actually. To literally go out in a blaze of glory.

I do like the idea, however I could imagine there would be more than one bloke, that after confirming he wants to die, gets out there into a fight and decide he loves Eve afterall. Is it then too late?

Oh, the roleplay possibilities...

I'd love that.

Biomassing characters scares me. The metal on metal, the screams, the sound of a body being shredded into pieces...

I stay up late at night thinking about these things.

it would be something to blow people's minds, too. from other MMOs

another "thing" to have on your killboard... "final battle" kills

would make a pilot pause for a moment after discovering their opponent's death was their last

you can't suicide-by-concord or NPC, either, you'd have to get a player to do it

...or self-destruct, but i have a feeling those types would just use the normal biomass

Simply awesome! Who knows, maybe it'll start a sort of evolution among pilots who choose to forgo the medical clone services, now that they can't say "**** it, kill me, I'll be back anyway!". Something like Scarface from BattleStar Galactica (anyone remember that particular Executioner/Daredevil?)

Or someone may go out with a deathwish, and end up like this guy.

Supported.

I cant image the rage of a group of frigates commanded by Non-podder Roleplayers when they meet the pointy end of a bomber because they aggressed a lowly alt jumping through the gate....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

NPCs don't shoot pods. So that just leaves self-destruct.

I can't see myself using this option, but it does sound like it will create some interesting content.

Maybe stick something on any killmail the character takes part in that states the characters clone contract has been suspended. Just to add a bit more of a taunt factor.

Maybe some way for everyone to see how long you spent sitting in a pod, with your clone contract disabled, outside Jita 4-4 Twisted

EVE... nightmare difficulty? I didn't think of the possibility of playing for an extended length of time with this on, but man... that... would be hardcore

How about that you can select this as an option when you first create your character. If you select this option you can be engaged at anytime by anyone who also has chosen to not have a medical clone from the start. However there can be only 1. Whenever you kill someone under this program from the start, you receive 25% of his skill points if the target had more then 5 million skill points (To prevent people from spam killing alts in pods for free SP).

This way you get a target on your head when you are the top of your class. Twisted

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.
