That's kinda frustrating for a lonely deep space pilot who always has trouble finding good company. Well Kyseth not withstanding, as he comes to chat with Erica regularly. But yeah...

haha, I meant a professional relationship of course, I have several corps in my personal contacts set to blue cause I'd hang around their space and we'd agree not to shoot each other.

As for the blue to you, it really was a forum bug. I made sure it wasn't one Big smile

If anything it's those tattoos I'd say

But besides that it's probably cause A) They think you're a guy or B) don't want to come off as a creep that blues every girl he wants in the pants of.

You're probably right actually. Being a roleplayer I guess some folks might like the premise of my character, but won't approach her to chat because they're not RP'ers themselves and wouldn't know what to say.

Then there's the actual roleplayers, the kind of company I enjoy most. Sadly though many of them will be too caught up in their assumptions of who/what the player is to risk approaching the character. Sad RP'ers are sad.

Then there's the small niche of real RP'ers who just love to -roleplay- without regard to the player behind the character. They dont pry, or make assumptions, because they don't care. Smile

I never have trouble finding company in an OOC context, just ask my corp members or the dozens of allies who share our systems and Intel channels. It's the company of real RP'ers that I miss, not in part due to the fact I'm the only RP'er in my corp What?

Agreed.

I'm a casual roleplayer. By casual I mean I haven't researched or followed much in regard to EVE's storyline or the races' history. So for me I totally understand what you mean by the Summiteers often seeming intimidating, all the lengthy debates and discussions that revolve around politics or racial divisions.

I get around that simply enough though by representing my lack of storyline knowledge with Erica's complete disinterest in politics and Empire goings-on. It's why she, and I, love a life away from the cliques and EVE-intellectuals by hiding in deep space.That way she still fits right in with Summiteers. It changes me from being a player who "doesn't know" to being a character who "doesn't care". One can fit in, the other cannot.

And coolies, I'll look forward to whatever it is you're thinking. Should I be worried?? P
