CCP Predicts 1 Hour Downtime?

I like beer though, so I'll just pretend that there's more than an infinitesimal chance of me actually getting to go to Fanfest 2014.

Of course with all the recent download/patches CCP could be adding stuff to the client that only becomes active after a date/time.

I would suggest patching for an hour, opening up tranquility with every system at 0.0 for a half hour, measure broken crap, shutdown tranq, rollback 1 hour, gift 50k skillpoints to everybody, release fixed tranq after 2 hours.

You get a dummy test of the system, some ludicrous combat, and a stress test. Players get free skillpoints.

Quick, simple, silly.

FYI, don't do this.

Ive never experienced an EVE patch day.. but no game I have ever played has not overshot their patch time by like .. half a day or more.

Try league of legends. They just give up and predict 6 hour down times instead.

1 hour does seem ambitious, they should probably pad their estimates a little more, though it would be awesome if they hit it.

Hour for the patch....errrr expansion...an hour the next day for the fix for the patc....expansion, an hour the day after for the fix of the fix for the expanpatchion, and 23 stealth launcher patches to fix the fix of the fix for the fix that hotfixed the patch of the original fix for the patchspansion.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
