It would appear that as upgrading to 10.9 fixes it, and its a free upgrade, CCP and Transgaming can get away with never fixing this bug.

To bad that is not going to work with the freeze bug.

It's gotta be in combination with something else though. I'm on 10.8.5 and I've never had this problem.

I never had it on 10.8 either, and as a wormhole dweller I would certainly have noticed. It might be some combination of the OpenGL driver and graphics card that went away when 10.9 updated the driver? I'm running an NVIDIA 660M.

With our luck, It's probably something much more obscure than that. Forgot, I should have mentioned I'm running the Radeon HD 6750M.
