Between 1 and infinity.

I've seen rumours about 60 copies per module/ship were released, but that was just a rumour long back. Not seen any official CCP numbers.

The difficulty quantifying the numbers of each comes in the fact that lots of these prints belong to accounts hat have gone inactive, that have been banned (for RMT) and other destroyed either by pew or accidental trashing (used to happen a fair bit!).

Add to that people being 'protective' about their prize assetts and the truth is, unless CCP tell you, you are very unlikely to ever know.

Cheers.

I know you can pull T2 rig blueprint copies from exploration sites, but I do not know enough about the other forms of complexes to tell you what drops where. As for BPO's, I have no idea. The most I hear about them are the ones that are given away as prizes etc.

Nobody other than CCP knows. Anything else is a WAG.

The number is always changing with BPO being destroyed or lost to inactive accounts.

Keep in mind that T2 BPO are totally pointless to own other than as collectables, and suffer from a huge opportunity cost for the ones worthwhile to manufacture.

I agree with your first two statements. But the third is just lazy, ignorant, mouth-spewage.

Many T2 ships are a loss to invent and build. Yet they are still being sold regularly. The obvious answer is because a T2 BPO can spew out an infinite number of high ME copies with which invention cannot possibly compete.

WIll it take a lot of time to recoup the investment? Yup. Patience is a virtue.

Every T2 BPO is profitable.
This is a fact.
There are also far more invented T2 BPCs making lesser profit.
This is a fact.
Profit values change and can go negative.
This is a fact.
Inventing lets you move on, a BPO does not.

So beyond very small volume ships
You will not see the impact of a BPO.

Stop building T1 frigates for a while, guys. There's like an entire collection of T1 stuff that cannot possibly be produced and sold at a profit nowadays.

The BPO's that are left are few and far between, you only really hear they were about when they end up in a loss mail or a bittervet is leaving. Hope you're rich though, the last one I saw (muninn bpo) was going at about 100+billion isk...

True.

Given an infinite amount of time a T2 BPO can create an infinite amount of copies.

But given that most of us operate on a finite amount of time the actual amount of copies is that a finite amount divided by the time it takes to create a copy.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Oh, that reminds me - one of the easiest ways to tell that someone has their head completely up their ass on the T2 BPO subject is that they start spewing utter bullshit about how the BPOs can be copied.

The copy times on T2 BPOs are substantially longer than the production times - generally double or so - which means you can only ever decrease your production rate by copying them.

I know lots of people with T2 BPO's. If you want to pool your isk with some friends, I can get you some starting at around 20b.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Yeah the problem with Tech 2 BPO's is that they are so damn expensive it will take 5 years before you make your money back with them.

Unless you plan to flip them.
