Why don't RIGS drop......?

Heya,

i'm reasonably new to pvp and have been looting as i go (well who wouldn't) but i'd noted that rigs never drop.

now all other modules do and i figured you plug them in jsut the same as modules.

any one advise?

I expect to be flamed a LOT but alas as a pvp noob i have to ask or i never find out.

If you salvage the wrecks, you can build rigs, so in a manner, they do drop.

Rigs effectively become part of the ship once they're installed. They can't be removed without destroying them.

I don't think the rigs change what salvage you get from wrecks though.
