At this stage this thread will just be for my own personal model/community project.
However that being said, later on down the line, nothing is stopping any of you requesting commissions.

AusBros no probs, it's pretty easy to get stuff over there from middle earth.

Your design Von Braun is a biological/mechanical ship? What is your concept or purpose of this craft in EVE?

Introducing this to EVE would be fascinating as a first ever bio/mechanical ship. A lore of nano-sciences horror, cybernetic virus outbreak, assimilating biomass, like another stage of Rogue Drone of evolution to sentient beings, as living ships in space. Not to delude the Sansha plot, but something really more fierce and darker than that.

I'd like to see Sentient Drones dependent on a strong hull tank, limited armor and intelligence comparable to Sleeper threats and a mix of Incursion mechanics. Maybe only to have these ships piloted with exclusive implants to interface the ship rather than a rack of skill books.

Some of the Jove ships look extremely organic.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Pure win, Please let me know when you get this off the ground, i love the rifter but am shy of buying the USB one as I have been told it is plastic / not very strong.

Your models seem amazing, and as my 3yr old boy is so into space I would LOVE to give him something both EVE and SPACE related :D

Excellent, I fear for my wallet even now.

In the meantime I'll sit back and enjoy the show.

Hi, you have raised some very interesting design topics there, bio-mechanics as a genre was a central part to the research competent of the Von Braun's design. The basic (off the top of my head) lore of the game System Shock 2 was that the sentient AI S.H.O.D.A.N. took control over two starships after she herself had been lost in space for many years on a station conducting biological research with viruses. This station was discovered by the crew of the two ships and she uploaded herself to them via a distress signal. S.H.O.D.A.N.'s experiments then find there way on board the Von Braun and infect the crew, most of them being absorbed into one large fleshy being called 'The Many' a hive mind that feeds from the energy of the warp drive.
The Sansha of EVE would be a great place to start a plot line like this, although EVE online was never the reason for building the Von Braun, it's ideas could be used quite nicely.
As with rouge drones, perhaps a sentient bio mechanical drone mothership could be introduced?? Drones are a hive mind themselves are they not??

Maybe sleepers find there way into K-Space via Capsuleer experimentation in W-Space???

The possibilities are quite endless :)

Your have been told correct it's plastic, I have one and think its cool but it's definitely breakable, I've painted the bridge on mine to have the actual complete rafter look rather than a huge glory orange dot in the middle.

Thanks a lot, appreciated.
Carriers would definitely be cool, the Minmatar ones are relatively straight forwards too. Those huge flat panels make it quite a bit easier.

CCP Laetitia??? I like the sound of that haha.
So I was planning on getting started this weekend but the architectural model for the Honda commercial I'm working on has become a full time job this week. Hopefully next weekend I will make a start on the first bits to cut out.

Haha, I would actually do Kiwi If asked to do so!
I wonder how many kiwis play this game, I've only ever met a couple and they are in my alliance.

All the best with your endeavour.

CCP used to produce a series of Battleship models using resin, though they didnt have weapons fitted. This was the Megathron Model which was sold through the previous incarnation of the eve store, but also produced the Raven, Tempest(?), and I think the Geddon.

There was also did the Navy versions of the ships, and i believe at one fan fest (2009??) there were a couple of Limited edition Ravens given away as part of a blind auction.

It would be good to have a group of ships from Frigates->Battleships for all races, the Gallante and Amarr would be some pretty nice models, some Caldari and Minmatar may be a little brittle due to their love of ariel like spikey bits (Raven, Tempest, Raven etc).

Thanks very much!
I have seen the previous models made when I was researching what to build myself. They are good models but I want something really epic on display at home.

I totally agree with you about having a range of ships for sale, I guess its hard to judge demand for such a thing?
I wonder how fast the last ships sold out?
