Worked great for me for about an hour and a half then two client crashes followed by black screen after logging in....

I use clones. That bypasses the launcher altogether. So Ive never noticed this issue.
Tonight all triple box my mining fleet and see if I can get a freeze. Triple boxing while web browsing normally gets me a freeze on at least one client.

Apparently the icon corruption has still not been fixed after 6 months.

This is still causing serious problems in PVP.

I was able to make log on and preform a single system jump before the game froze completely on me. Now when ever I log on it freezes right a way. I'm manually deleting my cache as we speak to hopefully clear up the problem. So far I'm very upset with Eve and CCP.X

Tbh it isn't the mac side of things to blame for the first few days of the Rubicon launch. I remembered when PC and Mac had a bad glitch in the first few days the last Expansion launched, ofc CCP goes right away to fix it. But this is a mac issue, I really hope this gets sorted.

I'm still confirming the Icon corruption is still happening after 5 months of CCP reproducing the issue, causing problems in PVP and ship recognition.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Whenever I try to enter the game after the character selection screen I get a black background and the game freezes.

I hope they fix this soon because it's extremely frustrating not being able to get into the game.
